Yes, 4 issues per volume - I have read volume 1 and 2 thus far, but 3 isn't due out until September according to Amazon - don't know if I can wait that long!
I opted for the original BR, as I have no plans to upgrade to 4k anytime soon, and if I ever do, I'll buy this again. Just the difference between DVD and BR is phenomenal. I enjoyed the Original Skeksis Language Scenes - hearing Frank Oz voice Aughra was great, it was like hearing Yoda's voice...
I finally got around to picking up Dark Crystal on BR and its gorgeous. I noticed so much more detail in HD, they certainly cleaned up a number of scenes. I also enjoyed the Brian Froud commentary. Even simple things like the menu are so much better compared to the DVD - great purchase.

Found this online! It can be streamed for free if anyone else didnt get to see it!
I enjoyed it, wish it were a bit longer though. It's visually stunning, but I would have liked a bit more dialogue.
Saw these on Amazon, they are tempting, but considering I bought the entire Dark Crystal line of POPS and action figures, I really have no space to display more. Boober is my favorite, some of the others look a bit off. I'd have to be in love with them to make a purchase at this point.
I never picked up the DC BluRay, so I might have to track this down. The Froud edition 2-pack of DC and Labyrinth on BlyRay is only $15, so I've been close to buying it when I need something extra on an Amazon order.
Interesting that Lisa Henson and Toby Froud are working on a new commentary -...
I'd be interested to see where this could go, and they really don't need any of the original cast. They could do a reimagining that was done for other properties like Battlestar Galactica or Star Trek. The only feasible character they might reuse is Sarah, I cant see them bringing back Toby -...
I wont spoil anything, but the story takes some interesting turns and we learn more about various locations on Thra, which I enjoyed. I finished it tonight - I was reading after dinner until the sun went down, and had to light candles to be able to finish the book while I was outside! The last...
Has anyone read "Shadows of the Dark Crystal" (2016) & "Song of the Dark Crystal" (2017)? They have become must haves for my Summer reading this year and last. I've enjoyed them thus far, including the few pages of illustrations to add to the vivid descriptions in the books. The DC movie was...
I've been browsing TRU and various other stores that focus on movies, gaming, etc - but the supply of DC Pops is apparently gone at retail. I went ahead and ordered Aughra online, and used rewards points, so my final price was under $2. The detail is great, I love how each whisker is a...
I still only have these on DVD, but based on some of your comments, it seems like they are worth picking up on BR as well. Aren't there a few different versions floating around now, years later? I noticed a Froud art edition with both movies packed together as well as a DC Steelbook from...
I tried contacting Toby via his production company website, but have yet to hear back, so if anyone knows where to find a DVD, I'd appreciate the assistance!
Has anyone been reading the Power of the Dark Crystal comics? I didn't realize they were already several issues in. I was at a book store and noticed issue #3 on the shelf. Not sure if I want to pick up individual comics or wait for them to be combined into a single book...
WTB: Lessons Learned (By Toby Froud) DVD or BluRay - wasn't aware of this until now, if anyone has a copy they're interested in selling, please message me with the price, thanks!
I just found out about this on youtube because it popped up as a suggestion, based on previously watched Dark Crystal videos! I cant believe I had no idea this was made until years later. Does anyone know if the DVD is available anywhere, or was it only a kickstarter bonus?
After picking up the Garthim and mostly completing (minus winged Kira) my Dark Crystal figure collection, I've turned my attention back to the POP figures. I only picked up Ursol from the DC line - which remains my favorite, but after seeing the Chamberlain in person, I decided to add it to my...
