A Bilbaretta (that’s how I shorten Bill Barretta) character who’s not as frequently performed as the others and his right-hand simian - another double this week!
I believe this is the first time a Brian Henson character is featured even though he’s only second banana. Sometimes I wonder what’s...
I’d like to point out that Dave’s voice for Beauregard is based on the voice he used when he performed Wendell Porcupine in Emmet Otter’s Jug Band Christmas. Whenever I watch that special and hear Wendell speaking, I always think of ol’ Bo.
Sometimes I wonder whose idea it was to make Sam look similar to his 1975 variant. Growing up, I grew accustomed to his trimmed brows and low head feathers.
I have been noticing that whenever there’s a video of Muppets talking about other Muppets, they’re performed by either Matt Vogel or Eric Jacobson. The broccoli in the video talking about the tomato sounded a little bit like Oscar the Grouch.
How about that video of Sam commenting on (and...
Angus McGonagle - he’s certainly a pleasantly surprising addition, or a surprisingly pleasant addition, whichever you prefer.
If they ever reintroduce him, they’d have to decide who’d be able to perform him. We know Matt Vogel can do nearly all of Jerry Nelson’s characters, and since he can...
Penguins happened to be one of my anticipated guesses. If Nicky Napoleon can get recognition, maybe Waldo can, too.
I didn’t realize he and his emperor penguin band started out in Little Muppet Monsters. The eyes looked different, though. It goes without saying that LMM is pushed so far into...
Doesn’t look like superstitious days matter beans to them. I did predict a Muppet with glasses and marigold skin, but it looks like they went with a character performed by Richard Hunt and David Rudman with those traits.
Next week is Friday the 13th, so if there’s a character prone to misfortune, it would be the Newsman. Not only that, but it was said on the 2015 Muppets sitcom that he has a daughter, so he does double duty as a father figure for Father’s Day on the 15th.
And about The Cat Came Back. Lately...
Nope, just a full-body Muppet who’s neither a dog nor a lion. I guess they didn’t want the attraction’s departure to be too obvious. Regardless, we still have 28 weeks to go!
Now that I got to see more of Andy and Randy more than I ever could in the past, there are two ways I can tell them apart: their heads (Andy has a slightly long snout) and their voices (Randy sounds a lot like Stinky the Skunk, performed by Dave Goelz, from the Animal Show).
Also, there’s another video showing Miss Piggy, displeased again about not being picked for a week that she thought was meant for her. First, there’s Valentine’s Day, taken by Polly Lobster, and now the end of May, taken by her nephews.
This just might become a running gag - I wonder if they’ll...
Time to place yer bets! And by that, I mean time to predict who’s next.
To make things easier, let’s predict the performer who played/plays a certain Muppet. For example, if you guess it’s Dave Goelz and the character turns out to be Gonzo, Beauregard, Chip, or Waldorf (the latter of whom...
4/7 of showcased Muppets have been confirmed. It won’t be long before we see some fan content of Sweetums pop up. I’m most looking forward to cartoonist Dave Alvarez’s portrayal - every week, he usually uploads a Muppet illustration a few hours after the reveal.
Week #39 - He was first conceived as the Crown-Grabber. He made appearances in the early years of Sesame Street as well as The Muppet Show. He’s also fuzzy and blue, but it’s neither Grover, Herry, nor Cookie.
Isn’t that BEAUTIFUL?
Today is the DAY
we celebrate a special kind of MONSTER.
