So I had this crazy idea. Why don't we film videos where we lip sync with one of our Puppet friends to the Man or Muppet song. Figure it would be a great way to celebrate the oscar nomination (and eventual win) of the song, especially since I'm sure its something we all here can relate too. Okay...

Agreed. Still some negativity about how well the Muppets performed at the Box Office (I think it did fine myself) but I think we are still in a better place with the Muppets than we were a while back. I mean look at this. It might be the Muppets first Oscar. Its a great day to be a Muppet fan.

I do get how the vote could be divided if three songs from the same film are nominated though basically you have three high quality muppet songs to pick from. Lets say there are ten votes. Each of these gets two for a grand total of six votes for muppet songs. Whatever this song fromRio is gets...

I read over on muppetmindset that they have limited the number of songs that get nominated from a movie so votes aren't split. This may explain why the other songs were not nominated. They may have all qualified but Man or Muppet waqs the one that scored the best.

I loved Muppet Party Cruise...did they make it for the Wii (or I suppose the game cube since they are compatible right?)

I do wish Pictures in my Head and Life's a happy song got nominated to, but from a fan standpoint I'm happy that Man or Muppet got nominated...do they still perform the Oscar nominated songs or did this get shoved to the technical awards? I hope they do and I'm sure they will have other Muppets...

Only two songs...well at least they picked a good one...I'd rather see this win than life's a happy song anyways.

The great part about the muppet show format is that if they can secure the rights to missing songs they can put them as bonus features on later disks. Its not like the flow of an episode is messed up with these missing or anything but I do wish we had them... I have some of the time life dvds so...

I was away from the forum for a while and just started being active again in November or so. I just now caught this post. How sad. I remember reading his many posts years agao but always loved his story where he explained why he used the name he used around here. What a nice guy and what a shame.

Man I want these. I actually like the piggy better than palisades(at least from the pcitures)...she always seemed to tall to me.

I spray them with scotch gaurd when we get new ones. Doesn't help when they are already dirty. Dryer sheets in side helps as. Was staed above.
