I forgot that "Disney" doesn't always make their own merchandise. Like Mattel made most of the Toy Story 3 toys, which I thought were excellent.
Luke, you just made me think of something...the merchandise situation, where there was hardly any movie specific merchandise in retailers, makes me...
Mostly the lack of merchandise. Like most people I have very little too complain about the film itself. But clearly I wasnt the only one wondering where the goods were.
Oh man, you're bringing me back to all my fond memories of the early, mid and late 1980's when Muppets were truly everywhere. Im so grateful to have lived in that time period. Indeed, we've been kind of shoehorned into thinking seasonally or merch only when a film comes out. I see what you're...
Also I was always curious if they ever had plans for a second wave and more characters, or if even prototypes exist like they do for the Dark Crystal Kenner figures.
*faints* I still consider these the coolest TMS era items, if not muppet items overall, ever. I remember when I found one at a garage sale when I was little, I thought maybe they had them for every single TMS character. I envisioned going on a cross country road trip to find all of the TMS...
I was hoping John Krazinski woulda had more than just a split second cameo! Im such an Office fanboy. Glad Rashida Jones(his ex from Season 2) was in it a lot.
I hope this stays in theaters a long time, as I so would love to find a girl(hopefully date) to go with who'd be totally geeking out throughout the whole film.
Surprised not too many people have mentioned 80's robot. LOVED HIM.
Oh yeah, I LOVED 80's Robot...totally Grody to the Max!
Also Ive warmed up to "travel by map"...so many people I know are now using that expression
Can you imagine all the t shirt and internet meme/inside joke potential here...
The Kermit getting ready to open the "O" was indeed amazing. Just seeing a full on TMS movie, amazing. Tho yeah, sucks Rizzo was MIA. Disney released a Rizzo and Pepe plush for the movie merch, but they were not really in it.
Oh no, I like how they are respecting that most of us still and will...
Thats a VERY very interesting and plausible theory. We know Carl is not the 1992 business meeting or 1996 MT build, but a new 2008 model. But for many of those, I wonder if they were all rebuilt. Not saying they used the now highly degenerated 36 year old ones. But perhaps ones from the 90's or...
No joke, I heard a woman gasp the first time we see Rowlf (in the car recalling why his scene wasnt in the montage) For a lot of people Rowlf is a very special, old time character. My mom loved Rowlf as a kid in the early 60's, and Rowlf has been gone for so long its just wonderful to have him...
Yep. Or he coulda said as part of a sentence reply "well...movin' right along...".
There's something so goosepimply magical about that song and their beat up studebaker. Not complaining about the new film, but I love how natural the first one is. Other than Animal becoming ginormous(one of my...
Oh yeah, the gangster Fozzie. Man, at the end when he's all "what the wocka?" like it was a swear word, I was laughing so hard. I cant stand that tough guy gangbanger macho type...actually this movie makes fun of all the people I cant stand(smart phone twitching spoiled princesses, corrupt...
Oh! Heh, I loved that visual sight gag. How theyre talking to the tv exec in the office, but when the camera pans back to them all the sudden there's Thog and a bunch of characters.
Man, Thog, while he doesn't have any lines, had a TON of screen time. And was Thog truly that enormous in the...
Totally, though We Built This City in retrospect fits. Im glad Together Again was referenced. But no 'movin right along?' Thats the second best song from the first movie:)
I dont know why people were worried about anything inappropriate or distasteful being in the film...I mean I know Sarah...
Those Muppet Baby actual puppets...were they only used for TMTM and MFC? I remember a mid 80's music video with Jim Henson, where he had giant frog feet but not sure if they used the puppets for the segments.
