You guys all rule. Thanks so much for the positive feedback. I'll post some more Muppet cartoons in the next few days. You guys are what make this forum so great.
Beautiful pencil work, Superfan! Did you work from a model (like a Fraggle doll) or did you work straight off your imagination? Very, very nice stuff, and it does my heart good to know other people besides myself still enjoy creating art with a pencil!
Inspired by both Muppet Monkey and Vic Romano, I'm submitting here for your approval my own Muppet cartoon. Hope you guys like it.

It IS flash, the same program they use at homestarrunner.com! Foster's looks much smoother than anything I've ever seen in flash before, but from what I've read, it's the same basic program that anyone can buy. And FYI, for another great online cartoon done in flash, check out arjandpoopy.com...
Just as a point of interest, Craig McKracken, the creator of Foster's, sites Jim Henson and his creations as an influence on Foster's. I kind of noticed it myself before I actually read it, but I also see a Tim Burton influence as well (another of my heroes). Any way you slice it, it's possibly...
Alf was a really good puppet and no doubt was also funny, but I think making him a Muppet (and yes, I realize this is only wishful thinking) would be kind of like making Lambshop an official Muppet, or the Avenue Q puppets or Greg the Bunny puppets as official Muppets. It's not that they...
Y;know, I gotta say, what the heck was Gobo's problem? His relationship with Red was as written in the stars as Kermit and Piggy's, so why didn't he make a move? It was obvious she liked him, at least!
Actually, I'd like to retract that last statement.
For my birthday last month, my beloved fiance Laura bought me a mint condition, never-been-out-of-the-box Kermit doll circa 1981, the one with the Sesame Street News trenchcoat and fedora. I had that same doll back when I was seven, and it...
Back when I was in elementary school I wrote the Jim Henson company and asked them innocently enough if they had any old Muppets they were throwing out and if they'd mail me one.
What I got back was a very nice form letter stating that the Henson Company could not, for legal and copyright...
Thank you so much for showing us this link, Dave! I was hella disappointed that the season 1 DVD was lacking the opening sketch for the Jim Neighbors episode, so it was great to get to see it here!
I feel like a hypocrite for disliking Drawn Together, since I was of the Beavis and Butthead generation (and I only like their show in the most minimal sense). I just feel like the show's not about being funny, it's about being sick for sick's sake. Having the Betty Boop-type character cutting...
That's true. But I think the one AnythingMuppet showed us is the one Vic was talking about. However, Animal's dancing partner was pretty cute as well. I'm pretty mad that they cut her number out of the Muppet Show Season 1 DVD where Jim Neighbors sings to her in a wind storm and her hair blows off.
Wha...?! She's rockin' hot! They need to give her the prominence that they give other miscelaneous (waaayy bad spelling) characters, like frackles and so on.
And I know she's not technically a Muppet, but I find Kate monster from Avenue Q. quite fetching!
