Oh I agree, I think a good example of Scooter's importance is in (probably my favourite Muppet Show episode) the Loretta Lynn episode where Kermit puts Scooter in charge for a little while.
Yeah, I can't believe 18 years has passed since we lost the late great Richard Hunt. He still never...
I know! I can't believe some of his choices, especially Scooter, Janice and Robin? How dare he say that stuff too!
He obviously has no idea what he's talking about with some character's importance and what-not.
I just started reading through this thread and I have to say I share the same sentiment as the first few posters
(I apologise if I'm steering away from any conversation taking place here)
I have high hopes for this movie and my expectations have been rasied more considering the recent muppet...
Yello there. I'm kinda new here too. Just been looking a bit through this thread and I was wondering if anyone knows the address to send fan mail to David Rudman?
Oh wow, I caught the telephone rock number just now on youtube after reading your post, Gelfing Girl and I LOVE it! Jerry Nelson's so awesome in this clip and Richard's old lady character cracks me up. I also caught some of The Beetles vids earlier and really dig the songs I listened to (Letter...
Well, if I had to pick a number one - without a doubt, Scooter! ;)
From the skits, shows and movies I've seen so far in my muppet venture -
(In no particular order)
Beaker
Don Music
Placido Flamingo (I've always got The Telephone of Brazil song stuck in my head - just so perfectly done by...
I just saw the vid and as a Scooter fan, it's great to hear him singing! Something I don't he's done as clearly since Richard performed him. And David sounded great! ;)
Also, I do quite like Robin's new voice. It's not bad at all. You can hear a difference yes, but it sounds close enough to...
It may change but thinking about it right now
Mixed:
1) Scooter
2) Gonzo
3) Kermit
4) Don Music
5) Placido Flamingo
6) Beaker
7) Rowlf
8) Janice
9) either Rizzo or Floyd
10) Pepe
When I first heard Bill Barretta as Rowlf, I couldn't tell the difference. To me, it sounded pretty much like Jim's Rowlf. But after watching more scenes with Bobo and hearing Bill's Rowlf a few more times, I noticed the difference. Yeah they do sound similar and I could definitely hear Bobo in...
Wow, thanks for the info, fellas!
I did manage to catch the end of Follow That Bird and both versions of "We're all monsters" on youtube. It does sound to me like it's Jerry Nelson doing the voice, but I haven't yet heard any of Michael Earl's characters. Gotten reacquainted with the muppets...
Hi there. :)
Just wondering if any can help me with this - I've read that before Kevin Clash took Elmo and made him his own, he was originally performed by Brian Muehl, and then Richard Hunt for a little while. Ever since learning this, I've been curious as to how Elmo sounded before Kevin...
I haven't seen all the muppeteer's work. but from the ones I've seen so far
1) Richard Hunt
2) Jim Henson
3) Dave Goelz
4) Steve Whitmire
5) Frank Oz
6) Jerry Nelson
7) Brian Henson
8) David Rudman
9) Louise Gold
10) Kevin Clash
I chose Richard Hunt as my Number 1 because for me, whenever I...
Thanks, Muppet NewsGirl :) Glad to be here and glad to meet a fellow Scooter Lover ;). I agree with you there, I love how close they were. Makes me wish there were more behind the scenes footage or stories out there. I can never get enough of them.
Thanks! :)
Hi Guys. Sorry to go a little off from the conversation you've been having here. Just thought I'd join the RHLC and introduce myself. I'm a big fan of Richard Hunt and his work! Scooter is my favourite muppet and I couldn't be more happy that he seems to be making a comeback these days with what...
I completely agree with you there. I do love those characters (especially Beaker, Janice, Floyd & Dr. Teeth) but in The Muppet Show at least, Scooter did get more screen time than them overall. Although saying that, Scooter doesn't seem to show on a lot of merchandise these days. To my knowledge...
