If it's true, there'll still be Nick Stoller and James Bobin; they're big fans too. I believe it was James Bobin's idea to bring the more obscure, lesser known muppets back in the movie (Thog, Wayne & Wayne, etc). But I do agree, Jason should be involved.
Well, today feels great to not only be a muppet fan, but a Scooter nerd too (in other words, me :D). This is just wonderful to watch. I wish the video quality were better and wouldn't go out of sync but it's still an enjoyable watch. I love how excited and passionate Scooter gets in this and the...
I just saw this article too. I don't know how true it is that there is now definitely a sequel is in the works (I would think it is most likely is though considering how well the movie did) and if they're going on without Jason Segel, but I feel a little less uneasy about that idea if Nicholas...
Already posted my happy surprise and delight of this news on another Scooter thread here, my Scooter facebook fanpage, and my FB profile (I'm pretty excited if you can't tell ;)) but I'll also add (and Hubert mentioned this at the beginning) that it's just so exciting and unbelieveable that...
Just got back home from a fun time at a friend's wedding and came back online to this wonderful, unbelieveable surprise!!!
I said this when I posted it on facebook and my Scooter fan page, and I think it bears repeating:
Saw this billboard at the car park of my local Tesco
I also bought these two books from Tesco too (Can't remember for certain how much the fact file costs because I bought it a couple weeks ago and took the price sticker off but I'm pretty sure it was £3.50)
I remember a friend mentioned this idea to me a couple years ago and when I first read it, I instantly fell in love with it. Granted, I may sound a little biased since Scooter is my favourite muppet and I know there are probably going to be some people who will disagree but I really do feel he...
Jessica Max Stein did an 86-page zine on Richard in 2009 called The Rainbow Connection: Richard Hunt, Gay Muppeteer. She also did interview Jerry Nelson and Jane Hunt on Richard and those can be seen on her site. As I understand it, the zine did quite well and she's now working on full-length...
When I first saw the title of this thread, my instant thought was actually Steve Whitmire. Though he's not as widely known as Frank Oz per se, his story of taking over Kermit is something that would certainly have mass appeal and I'd love to hear more of Whitmire and other performers talking...
This is where I got it ;)
You can choose different styles, colours and add any text you want to it too. I thought I'd put what it is arguably Scooter's most famous phrase onto mine.
Darn right he does! I saw the new movie for the first time in an advance screening on Sunday and loved it! Listened to the soundtrack 5 times now as well. The film opens here in the UK today and I'm going for my second viewing in a couple hours :)
Also, I don't why it's taken me this long to...
Oh saweet! Yeah, a Muppet Central t-shirt would be awesome, but a Scooter t-shirt I ordered online arrived in the mail last week so I shall be wearing that! ;) Look forward to seeing you there, will be great to meet a fellow Muppet Fan and MC Member :)
I just got an e-mail from itunes telling...
I was gonna post this in a new thread but I guess it fits here. Odeon Cinemas are doing Advance Screenings of The Muppets on Sunday 5th! I don't know if it's all or selected cinemas but go on this link: http://www.odeon.co.uk/fanatic/film_info/m13449/
Then, go down to "Select Cinema"
I booked...
I'm glad there's a commentary with Segel, Bobin and Stoller. Still, I would've also loved another commentary with the Muppet Performers.
I have to say I'm not happy with the Making Of Documentary being "hasty". I really hate when Making Of Doccos are done like that! Just seems so lazy and...
I think within the fanbase, he's more appreciated and loved. But outside that, maybe not so much; People who are casual fans per se, would usually pick Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo, Animal or even Pepe as their favourite Muppet. Here in the UK, a movie magazine called Empire did a 20 page...
It's interesting you bring that up; A while back I was talking to a member/admin of my Scooter fan page and I remember her saying that she thought Scooter would've fit perfectly as Jim Hawkins in Muppet Treasure Island and that idea just got me really excited and really made wish it could've...
