Re: I'm more about individual songs than groups...
Hey Kim,
Dar is absolutely worth checking out. She's a wonderful singer/songwriter and she's also a member of one of my favourite groups "Cry, Cry, Cry" (see my list above). I would really recommend her first album "The Honesty Room"...
I haven't been posting lately but I'm educated enough on this subject (my fav music preferences) that I can, hopefully, contribute something fun...although admittedly off-topic.
Beatles - huge influence on me - probably as much as the Muppets had on me during my childhood. There has never...
Hey Jeffery,
I have some very, very good quality MP3s (at 256 KPS) that I transfered from my own mint MTM LP. If you're interested in a trade or something let me know.

take care,

In case anyone is interested...they're exactly the same as the time life covers so there's really nothing new there. But still, I just thought I would post the link. You'll have to scroll down a little bit.

Hays - I miss Joe Raposo's music as well as Jeff Moss. I loved how they created very intelligent songs (both structurally and lyrically) for children. I actually played a few of the early songs as a part of set I did for a local coffee shop the other day. I actually think quite a few of those...
Hi Tommygunn, welcome to the forum!
I think everyone around here is a little distracted by the excitement stirred up by another thread here so please don't think anyone is ignoring your question.
Granted, I'm not necessarily the most knowledgable source of knowledge regarding the Muppets...
This is a most interesting discussion...
For some reason I reminded of the rumours that circulated around the time Jim Henson passed away sayinng that the CTW was going to have the character of Ernie die to teach kids about death.
If I recall correctly, and I don't know if this was an...
I agree that Statler sounded the most like Richard's interpretation than it has in years. I thought it was a good step but it leads me to wonder if Jerry Nelson is thinking about retirement as well.
In terms of Fozzie and Piggy:
It was great to see Fozzie and Kermit together again...
I love Gladys on Sesame Street. I think the humour of that character is so subtle and quirky...always trying to be another animal and all that.
One of my favorite Jr. Gorg moments is when he sings "What if a Friend" to his lost cabbage Geraldine. "Oh, Geraldine...I searched the whoooooole...
You know, Scarecroe, I would like to se that as well. Even more wishful thinking on my part would be for a rerelease sans orchestra tracks. I'd love to hear the original production of just piano and voice...that feels more like Rowlf to me.
Still, it's a fun album...I just think it might've...
Wow, this is a great thread!
As for my dinner party...
Rowlf - probably the best conversationlist out of all the muppets - wit and philosophy...plus being a musician we can all hang out around the piano going in and out of song
Gobo Fraggle - again...he's someone I can imagine sitting...
I'm very very excited that Rhino is the lable releasing the Muppet music. They are an incredible company that takes good care of all that they release. Just look at what they have accomplished with the Monkees catalog. Their liner notes are always informative, the packaging is usually geared...
Thanks everyone for answering my question. I really appreciate it. For some reason the female vocal on that song sounded a little bit like some of Karen's vocal work when she was doing Red Fraggle. I don't know how to describe it but...still...Marilyn Sokol it is!
Well Karen, in the words...
Well, Dr. Tooth I've seen her post every now and then but mainly in regards to Fraggle Rock. So I'm hoping that perhaps she might run into my post. Who knows, eh?
Scott (who longs to be more than just a "junior")
