    Questions about anything

Beats me, for the same reason if you order chili, they'll put the beans on the side. And even though I'm not a fan of fast food compared to authentic cuisine, Wendy's chili is somewhat decent.

Halloween is just around the corner

That's fine, I'll never deny a sick kid a little Halloween joy. But somewhere in your teens, you are bound to realize you still might be young, but too old for trick-or-treating. Bittersweet time, when you find you're too big for Halloween/Tooth Fairy/Easter Bunny... but still not grown up...

Halloween is just around the corner

Still giving out candy here. Rule of thumb: if you're old enough to shave, your trick-or-treating days are behind you.

Halloween is just around the corner

It's nice to see things come full circle. I always had a blast going out trick-or-treating when I was little. Now it's a kick giving out the candy. Lot of Elsa's, but one kid just came to the door dressed as a Whoopie cushion. Now THAT is cool.

What bugs me about Little Jerry...

I was lucky enough to meet Chris Cerf, and his passion for 50's music just flows from him. He does have a bit of Randy Newman's wicked sense of humor, too. He kept it in check with most of his Little Chrissy numbers on Sesame, flexed it a little more on "Between the Lions". One artifact worth...

    Commercial rant time...

Progresso soup. Apparently kids won't touch veggies, but will devour them if you smother them (the veggies, not the kids) in broth (or Manwich sauce, or ranch dressing for that matter). Enter the Clueless Dad, seeing his kids eating soup, picks up the soup can, and comments sharply, "Ahh...

    David delivers in the rain.

Thank you for remembering this one, Cullen! Yes, David went through all the trouble of packing the sandwich and applying the proper postage, only to be told it would take two days to deliver ( a distance of twenty feet, tops). He tried to take the sandwich back from the mailman, only to be read...

The Official " OLD Three Stooges" thread

But Moe tried to keep the Stooges going almost until the day he died. The last official Stooge project (1969's "Kook's Tour") was shelved because Larry had a stroke and couldn't perform anymore. Moe thought he could recruit Emil Sitka (usually cast as a mad scientist in the Columbia shorts) to...

The Official " OLD Three Stooges" thread

Charlie Sheen in "2 1/2 Stooges". Actually Shemp was part of the act before Curly, who was brought in when Shemp was offered a better-paying contract with the " Joe Palooka" series. The Stooges had an underlying tension with their comic partner/straight man Ted Healey who always got top...

    Muppeteer Fran Brill's official retirement

Five years ago, Fran admitted Sesame had become a part/part/part/part/part time job for her. If your total amount of labor is about six weeks out of the whole year (if that), retirement doesn't seem like that big of a step. Yes, she'll be missed, but she's certainly entitled to enjoy a leisurely...

    Questions about anything

I'd like to see an example of that. It seems easy enough to draw an open book in front of a character's face, or their pupils down low, but eyes closed?

    R.I.P. Paul Revere

"Kicks", " Just Like Me", "Hungry", " Let Me", the hits kept coming. In spite of the corny Revolutionary War costumes, the Raiders were a decent garage band. Thanks for the tunes, Paul.

    The Ask Peter Linz Thread

Hi Peter. Do you still have any puppets from "The Puzzle Place"? Skye and Nuzzle were my introduction to your great work.
