Are there Season 1 shows floating around?

Well you won't get any complaints out of me. Like I said before, I appreciate everything you post, especially the time it takes to devote to it. Reconnecting with my early childhood like this is a bigger deal than you may ever know. I deserve to be grateful. So does everybody else.

    The Christian Christmas Story

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. There's your backup.

    Remembering Christine Cavanaugh

Sorry to hear that, major bummer. And she wasn't that much older than me, so you never know when your time is going to come.

Out With the Old, In With the New! The New Year's Thread

Some serious health challenges: -open heart surgery -losing sight in my right eye -having to miss four months of work -putting one of our cats to sleep But some incredible highlights: -meeting Caroll Spinney -seeing my best friend for the first time in four years, and meeting up with her again...

    Fandom Burnout/Reawakening

The same goes for me, but with bands. I might listen nonstop to a particular group for a week or two, then put them back on the shelf for another year. Currently into a few artists who passed away this year- Johnny Winter, Joe Cocker, Jack Bruce- but the Beatles never seem to get old.

    The Unemployment Thread

This almost makes me feel guilty to have a job. Once upon a time in the not too distant past, you could still walk into any business, no references or experience needed, tell the personnel clerk (the outdated term for HR people) you saw the Help Wanted sign, and within 10 minutes, you were...

    The Christian Christmas Story

I think what intimidates so many from coming closer to God (or even acknowledging his existence), is feeling there must be some strings attached. Maybe some were dragged to church when they were younger (like me!) and the experience wasn't pleasant. Maybe it's getting familiar with the Bible...

    The Christian Christmas Story

The best I can do is show people what my relationship with God has done for me, how it filled such an emptiness in my life. But I'm not in the soul-saving, fire and brimstone racket either. You don't get extra points in Heaven for converting people. If people do come to God, that's their...

    Happy 81st, Caroll Spinney!

Cheers, Caroll. Meeting you this year was an incredible thrill. Of all the Sesame people I've gotten to meet over the years, you're the tops.

    RIP Joe Cocker (1944-2014)

Sadly Joe Cocker passed away. His version of "With A Little Help From My Friends" has got to be the best Beatle cover ever (eventually featured on Sesame Street). Not bad for someone who thought he was going to be a plumber all his life. Thanks for your soulful voice, Joe.

Christmas: Are they shoving it down our throats too early?

The Beatles always remind me of Christmas. Back when they were together, every Christmas they sent a little plastic flexi-disc to members of their British fan club. 5 minutes of ad-libs, humorous attempts at singing and cracking each other up. After they broke up, Apple Records compiled them all...

    Questions about anything

Oscar did understand ASL. Once there was a street scene with Bob, Linda, Susan, Gordon, and possibly David gathered around Oscar's can. Oscar didn't like the crowd scene and wanted them to scram, so the humans made a bet with Oscar to see who would leave, him or them. Oscar proposed if they...

Christmas: Are they shoving it down our throats too early?

I just noticed at the end of the Rudolph special, when the credits roll and we see Santa and the reindeer flying off in the sky, even with Rudolph, there are only SEVEN reindeer! Either someone at Rankin/Bass didn't know how to count, or figured kids 50 years ago (or today) wouldn't notice.

Christmas: Are they shoving it down our throats too early?

Kathie Me Gifford has a whole Christmas album, and she's threatening to make a sequel. Even worse, she's "hard at work" on a stage version of "It's A wonderful Life", and she's writing songs for it.

Are there Season 1 shows floating around?

Maybe because of my age, I appreciate your posts more than most. Who knows. But it does seem like a disappointment when people "DEMAND" all 4,000 episodes. Seems to me the people that demand more appreciate it less.
