Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

I'd venture to say that being able to view all those episodes is a pretty nice consolation, though.

Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

Forget it guys, I just realized that you need to be logged in to access the extra features. I obtained a login long ago but forgot about it! Anyway, thanks for your help.

Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

I'm somewhat embarrassed to say that this still isn't clicking for me. Am I using the wrong browser (google chrome)? How do you even get to the page above? For example, say I want to check out all the episodes w/ Solomon Grundy. I go to the episode 1 page, there's the clip. The only thing I can...

Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

Where is "more info"? Perhaps I am blind, or maybe just 43, but I'm not seeing it.

Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

In the Muppet Wiki, is there a way to easily view a cross reference of all the episodes in which a particular Sesame segment appears? If you click the image corresponding to a particular clip, a window appears listing a few episodes that include the segment, including the earliest instance of...

Sesame Street Episode 847 with Margaret Hamilton

Yes, I used to watch the same episode twice a day on my local PBS station in the late 70s / early 80s.

"Lost" Cast Member: Panchito Gomez as Antonio

I used to post here a lot back when Noggin was airing "Sesame Street Unpaved".... I guess it's been ages now. Does Mark the Shark still post here? Or Boobergorg?

Wow, I'm only just reading that I got a reply from a former SS cast member! I should check up on this place more often, lol.

    Classic Sesame Clips on YouTube

It is a Joe Raposo song that was originally featured on the Sesame Street 2 record from 1971, sung by Matt Robinson and Loretta Long (Gordon and Susan). I agree that a lot of Raposo's tunes and arrangements are reminiscent of Bacharach.

Jazzy Spies vs. Pinball Number count

I love the Pinball Number Count but the Jazz Series trumps it in every way... the President busts, the Jackson 5, Satan himself... it doesn't get any trippier. My avatar says it all.

top 40 skits wanted for Old School Volume 2

Mad Painter #2, where he paints on the sailboat, has to be included. I haven't seen that clip anywhere in trading circles, and it would complete the mad painter collection. Please, please, include this. Also, any Raposo songs or instrumentals that weren't featured on Noggin would be mighty...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Old School DVD

Yeah, and it may be a case of wounded pride too. The quality of the show back then is so much better than what is being produced now, and there is so much love and nostalgia for the first 23 years as opposed to the last 14, that there may have been a little resistence from the current powers...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Old School DVD

One question: which Mad Painter sketch is included? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me it's number 2!! That's the only one I'm missing (and Guille, if you're reading, you've got it already? How dare you? ;) ).

"Lost" Cast Member: Panchito Gomez as Antonio

OK, based on his date of birth on IMDB, he might have been a featured child on the show. He is listed as being born in 1963! Interesting then that he was listed with the adults. Were children usually given that kind of billing on the show?

"Lost" Cast Member: Panchito Gomez as Antonio

This adult cast member would have featured at the same time as Molly the Mail Lady, Tom the barkeeper and Rafael. However, he is not shown at all on Noggin. He is listed in the scrolling credits at the end of the rainstorm episode as well as in IMDB (for 1971-1972). Does anyone have a photograph...

If they had mentioned David's death on the show

I'm not sure it would have worked so well. David would not have died an old man, and the actor's well documented "problems" outside the show would have complicated the picture. I think Calloway's death was better left private in the context of the show.

    Your Sesame Street Era

Great point, Jeff. The modern day SS set is sterile and the bright color scheme makes it look exactly like what it really is: the backdrop for a kid's show. Back in the 70s, the look was grittier and they had city sound effects in the background to enhance the effect. That Unpaved opener from...
