    Other muppet fabrics?

Also don't necessarily rule out graphically patterned fabrics. I found some fur-like fabric that had mooses (meese?) and pine trees on it, but with some creative cutting, I used it for ears on a dog puppet I made, and the designs just became mottled light and dark areas resembling fur markings.

    Need help making Ernie

While making replicas of famous characters may seem like the way to begin, it takes lots of skill. I recommend creating your own characters first, and then once you've got a few under your belt, then trying to recreate someone. That being said, I recommend the Project Puppet simple series as a...

    Bunsen Honeydew mouth

Me too. I'd also like to expand that into a tutorial on foam carving heads. IIRC, Bunsen was originally completely carved.

    Rod Puppet Sculpting

I believe that you can also use a fine sandpaper on it to gently sand down paper-mache once it is completely dry. IIRC, you use the standard water-glue-flour flour mix and blank newsprint, chop your paper up really fine (a cross-cut paper shredder can help with this to save your hands) and then...

Anyone used papercraft programs for patterning?

dunno about papercraft, but that sounds like it might be interesting. (However I would need some MAJOR training before I could do it myself.) As far as the artist in the video, that's Project Puppet's Pasha Romanowski. I think he posts here as Bezalel.

    Pupil Material

I use the foam 'dots' that scrapbooker's use to raise items up off a page. They're pre-cut, and (at least the ones I found) come in black and are self-adhesive.

Getting the Jokes (Ten years later)

I can think of 2, both from "Letters to Santa":  invents a 'wishing machine' and when  tries it out, he wishes for a supermodel, and then later at the party, Bunson cuts in and dances with Beaker.

    My new Cat puppet

Great puppet. I think the 'Clint' idea is a good one. Perhaps he could've been the whiny one in his misspent youth and has cleaned up his act?

    Teeth Question

One idea I've seen is to use foam cosmetic wedges that are then trimmed down to make teeth. If sculpted teeth are more your style, Crayola Model magic or Sculpey might work.

Retrofitting a Puppet for an Eye Mech

Can you give us some WIP pics or updates? I've seen diagrams about constructing an eye mech, but I've never seen it actually done, and I might retrofit and remake some of my puppets.

The date Muppet fans will forever remember

I wonder if part of the Muppet push would be releasing previous Muppet Christmas specials on DVD--Great Santa Clause Switch, "A Christmas Together" with John Denver, etc. I've found them on you-tube, but I'd really like to see them remastered and whatnot and done with Disney's usual panache.

    New Video: Muppet Bohemian Rhapsody!

I'll admit I was a little skeptical when I first heard about it... But once I got to watch the whole thing....:excited: I agree with everyone else though--More! More! More! (:boo: say Less! Less!)

    Arm making technique(s)?

Using longer fur on the arm might help. I'm pretty sure that Henson used fringe on Dr. Teeth's sleeves to disguise the puppeteer's arm as well.

Unedited Muppets Family Christmas on YouTube

I'm not sure. Looking at the content on their channel feed they seem to be linked to the Disney Channel, but the only evidence that they are official is the quality of the clips.

    Making kermit the frog

I'd try either the wedge method (you should find threads on it if you search this forum) or investing in the Project Puppet 'Mostro' pattern, because I think there was a 'rounded body' pattern included with it.
