Mmmm, perhaps my comments were worded a bit strongly, and I apologize for that. But I stand behind the overall message.
I don't get it. I understand that executives have to view this as a business, and have to consider what will make them money. But whose to say what will make them money? The...
Weinstein, your company is sick and perverse. How dare you take something as pure and wonderous as Fraggle Rock and twist the life out of it? Jim Henson was a genius. A man of vision. It is an insult to Jim, his legacy, and everything the man stood for that you would even consider doing this to...
Well, Link is a busy sort. He has to juggle alot of hats. He's a hat juggler, didn't you know. BoRhap is likely not at the top of the list for a hat juggler. Either that or he forgot when the shoot was.
Now, there's an act I can see on The Muppet Show!
_____
Kermit: Okay, Scooter, who do we have auditioning next?
Scooter: Well, chief, it's this new band discovered by... er, Mahna Mahna.
Kermit: Mahna Mahna?
Snowths: Doo doo doo doo doo.
Kermit: Yeesh!
(Curtains open)...
To put Scooter in such a small role would be a big step backwards. David Rudman needs to be able to grow as that character, and he needs to be given the chance to do so. Hopefully they'll be using a lot more of him before the film so David will be comfortable with him (or hopefully he's at least...
I loved How to Train Your Dragon. I was expecting so little from it, but it was better than anything Dreamworks Animation has ever produced.
As for Tangled, I'm really looking forward to hearing the songs. It's supposed to have sort of a '60s rock sound. As a fan of Ashman and Menken, I can't...
The Mummy (based on that clip) seems to be sort of a Paul Lynde character... maybe?
I'm not crazy about what I've seen. But I do love that weasel! They should just make it the Larry Miller and Weasel show.
A great interview overall, but I have to point out this "annoying misconception" that popped up in The Muppet Mindset's interview with Juliana Donald:
"I was doing a show Off-Broadway and had this last minute call back for the Muppet Movie. I had not watched Sesame Street and so was not aware...
I just don't understand. If Weinstein doesn't have the money (and we know that since they were trying to find yet another backer), why not find another company altogether? I mean, I would hate to see the Fraggles end up in the hands of someone who would turn it into every other "children's"...
A note to the Weinstein Company: GET ROLLING WITH THE FRAGGLE ROCK MOVIE ALREADY!
It's been over 5 years since this movie went into development. The Weinstein Company has now had their meddling hands in the project for over 2 years. Cory Edwards has been writing and re-writing the project...
I agree with much of what you say, but I'm not sure I see what it has to do with my comments. I think it is very sad that Brian is unable to perform with the Muppet characters for whatever reason. His Muppets are hillarious. I agree that Disney's doing great things for the Muppets...
To be fair, I've been a Muppet fan my whole life, but had no idea who Uncle Deadly was until 2003 or 2004. He's not exactly the first Muppet to come to mind, and has never been in a Muppet movie prominently.
It seems that since James Bobin was so keen to suggest Uncle Deadly, it's very likely...
Toughpigs.com also has Brian Williams interview with Frank Oz posted (and an interview with Jim Henson about the pipes). Brian Williams interview with Frank is so much more emotional. They reintroduce the pipes to Frank. It made me tear up a bit. :sympathy:
I will absolutely, 100 percent be there for opening day.
It is great to have a date, but it's a little disappointing that it's still so far off. I mean, it's very possible that the movie will be ready long before that. If they film in September, as some have been saying, and there's only six...
