It's amazing Sharon Osbourne can leave Ozzy alone long enough to host THE TALK.

    Happy Birthday Katzi428 (Kathy)

Time to roll out the carpet and strike up the band again! Now I know how you stay so young. You take one look at me and say "I ain't THAT old!" Works every time. 8) Cheers, Kiddo. 8)

What made you roll your eyes today thread?

20 years ago, there was one Krispy Kreme in Northern New Jersey, and a big front page article of how they were going to put the Dunkin Empire out of business. Didn't exactly work out that way. As expensive as their donuts have become, they're nowhere near as good as they used to be. Dunkin's...

    The "You know what?" thread

Yes, I remember ,Carlin's gig as Mr. Conductor. That didn't temper his stand-up act at all. One bit he did on parents worshipping and overindulging their children prompted him to say "**** the children!!!!! And this is Mr. Conductor talking here, I know what I'm talking about!!" Bless ya...

    The "You know what?" thread

It's something how so many stand-up comics, who could be incredibly raunchy sometimes, find new careers doing voiceovers for Disney after their stand-up days are over. Eddie Murphy, Cheech and Chong, Denis Leary, Tim Allen, Buddy Hackett (back in the 70's he was as blue as you could get)...

    R.I.P. Prince (1958-2016)

The thing with Weird Al, he does not parody people's work out of malice. It's his gift of taking others' work and putting his twist on it, that makes him so brilliant. If he did a spoof on Prince, it wouldn't belittle him in any way. Matt Groening once said the best comic targets are people who...

    Happy Birthday Fuzzygobo!

Thanks everyone. It was a great day. The coolest thing about racking up as many years as I have, you got a ton of great stories you can tell younger folk. "You were there when Sesame Street was new????!!!!", that type of deal. Someday you small fry will have anklebiters looking up at you in...

    R.I.P. Prince (1958-2016)

That makes me as old as your mother. 1984, next to Michael Jackson, Prince was it. You couldn't turn on the radio or MTV (Get this! They played MUSIC back then! Imagine that!) without "Purple Rain" in your ears. Great showman, producer, musical Jack of all trades. The only thing I'm sorry...

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

Same here. The names of all the dollar stores are interchangeable around here. No different than running into any convenience store around here, calling it 7-11. There are three 7-11 stores close by, but a ton of knockoffs. The scariest dollar store I was ever in was called "The Dollar Store"...

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

Every dollar store I've been in (Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, Dollar General, etc.) all have varying degrees of grunge to them. Unopened crates in the aisles, dirty carpets, missing ceiling panels. They're okay for party favors, cold drinks, little nickel-and-dime (well, actually dollar!) stuff...

    Questions about anything

Suppose you're standing in a line somewhere- bank, post office, supermarket check out, fast food joint, wherever. And someone in front of you is so engrossed in their phone they're not moving forward. You've seen the type, completely engaged in their game or video that the rest of the world gets...

    Dealing with depression and anxiety

I hope you relationship with God strengthens, but on your terms. I'm sorry your boyfriend and you broke up, he seemed like the best thing in your life. Actually, YOU are the best thing in your life. But keep getting strength from God (and Abuela) and you'll see how far you've come.

    Dealing with depression and anxiety

Yes, happiness is a choice, don't ever forget that. Some people think circumstances have to be just perfect, all the stars and planets have to be aligned just right, and then MAYBE they can be happy. There will always be crappy stuff going on in this world: war, poverty, disease, corruption...

    Favorite Seinfeld moments?

In some ways Seinfeld parallels M*A*S*H. Both shows took a few seasons to hit their stride, and their final episodes set record numbers. And cast members from both shows found varying degrees of success (or failure) afterwards, but left behind some ensemble work, the best of which is unmatched.

    Favorite Seinfeld moments?

George did have the best pickup line for chicks: "Hi. I'm George...... I'm a writer!" Being a writer even beats out latex salesman or marine biologist.

    Fellow Church People

I'm proud of you for keeping your faith strong. You have the right attitude. I've seen a number of people in church every Sunday, but their faith disappears as soon as they leave. That's sad to see people acting that way. I'm privileged to sing and play bass every Sunday. I wish I could gather...
