I did just rent the DVD and she was quite amusing in the role she was in, albeit a small one. She was Dr. Velma Rubin, an older, eccentric ... er, relationship therapist.
It was amusing.
I think that in the John Cleese episode, when Sweetums sings with Robin, Richard uses his arm to operate Sweetums' mouth to sing. When he dances during the instrumental, I think he quickly switches from his mouth to his right arm.
It's been a long, long time since I've seen that bit. How...
Re: Boober_Gorg celebrates his 500th post ... boy, do I need a life
Well, if Ms. Sokol has anything to do with it, who here wouldn't? :D Just kidding, I know what you mean.
I read that Ms. Sokol was once on an episode of "Sex and the City". I think it was some episode called "The Awful Truth". Could anyone tell me what she actually did on the show and how big a role did she have?
(Marilyn Sokol does count as a Henson person, doesn't she?)
My top favorite is the series of Jim Henson's number films with the falling chef. Mostly because of the music.
Also, "It's a Long Hard Climb", where Raposo harmonizes with itself.
"Mad" by Little Jerry and the Monotones
I guess I tend to have a fondness for relatively underrated songs.
#12 can be found on the commercial video "The Great Numbers Game" and #10 can be found - in Hebrew - on "Shalom Sesame: Passover".
Just trying to be helpful. :)
Now, who operates the Muppet? I've heard somewhere (maybe on Muppet Central) that it was Richard Hunt. And obviously someone else in the later years for songs like "Wet or Dry". Very likely it was numerous Muppeteers over the years, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was Richard.
Maybe Secret...
That sounds cute. That's a routine which has been repeated by other comics, like Bill Cosby.
I seem to vaguely remember another scenario where Maria is dining with Oscar because while she's pregnant she likes Oscar's food combinations like pickles and ice cream. (What kid would get that?)
What's the official name of the former muppeteer, Brian Muehl or Brian Meehl? I think I've even read it as Brian Nuel.
Also, is there a reason for why the spelling in his credited name varies?
Thanks folks. I thought I had read that Kermit Love had passed away, and I may have actually read it online somewhere. But once again, this proves that you can't believe everything you read online.
How long does it take to grow a beard like that anyway? :)
