Wow, interesting. I didn't expect to see one of these turn up. Very interesting, indeed.
Remember, after the Corgi merger, Master Replicas had two offices -- and quite a few staff members -- in the UK. So, it's not terribly surprising that that's where one of these ended up, I guess. What's...
I own one of these two, and it is a stunning piece.
Sadly, in a cross-country move a few years ago, while mine was dismantled for shipping, the little cap to screw on the lamp shade went missing. The shade and the awesome lamp itself are still in perfect condition though. Need to find SOME way...
That IS the most fair way to do it... and frankly, probably the best way to gauge current market value too! Still love to see some pics, but please let us know if you post them on eBay!
Hi slowfish, and welcome!
We really don't have much of an idea what they're worth... but as you can see from this thread, they're pretty rare. Would you be willing to send a pic to my email? I will send you a Private Message with my details. I think to post images, you have to use another...
Ah, yep -- that's them!
Keep me in mind if you ever come across a second set. I try to keep up with ebay.co.uk, but lots of people won't ship to the US.
Thanks!
Hey Chris-
Unfortunately, I don't have any pics of these, nor do I have any to sell/trade... I just wanted to add that there are, I believe, two different sets of Christmas Crackers out there -- the 80s set you are speaking about, and a set from circa 1992, based on Muppet Christmas Carol...
They're a mixed bag, across the series.
Beaker is actually pretty good, and Bunsen is not bad. Rizzo is probably the worst.
There are a few of them floating around on eBay.co.uk now. I tried to post some links, but they're just showing up as text.
I have all 11. Overall, I like them --...
They were a part of a 12-inch plush line that was exclusively available at the UK Disney Store a few years back (circa 2007, I think). The rest of the line up included Fozzie, Gonzo, Miss Piggy, Bunsen, Beaker, Statler, Waldorf, Rizzo and Swedish Chef.
Also, Kermit, Fozzie, Gonzo, Miss...
I just spoke to someone at DelivEARS and they informed me that there are two left at The Mad Hatter Shop; however, they also said that since they are limited edition, they are not allowed to sell them over the phone until 30 days after the release. (By which time, they will certainly be gone...)...
I know for a fact that when Disney acquired the Muppets -- and even beforehand to some extent, even when licensing was handled by The Jim Henson Company -- they began using Palisades figures in lieu of traditional maquettes.
I don't know if that is still going on, but based on the examples...
Hey all-
That is the whole set; there are 6 in total. I have four of them (all but Animal and Kermit. But those two come up more frequently than the others, so hopefully I will add those soon -- I see Thog and Rowlf the least!)
I think I paid around $8-10 apiece for the 4 that I have...
Ah, I don't want to be an omen! ;)
I've actually been here all along, lurking and reading... I just didn't feel compelled to comment on any of this for a long time.
I still don't have much in the way of actual intel, either. In fact, I don't have any. Just a little bit of background info...
This is absolutely correct, and for the right reason as well. Real market research costs hundreds of thousands of dollars.
I think there is some truth to this statement. Generally, the types of people that start these companies are fans of the various licenses they are working with. Bryan...
Actually, all of Master Replicas products (and all of eFX's as well) are made in China.
I have to believe you're the first person to ever say that MR didn't charge enough. :)
Funny - you purchased these cards from me a couple of years back. (I even went waaaay back in my eBay feedback to confirm!) I still have loads of all 3 of these (less of the "Peace" one), but I sold a few of them off back in (I think) 2008!
I don't know much about them, other than that they...
Hey guys-
It’s been a long, long while since I’ve posted anything in the “Muppet Replicas” section – partly because there hasn’t been much to say, and partly because, well… I was licking my wounds a little bit after being laid off from MR.
While I share everyone’s frustrations regarding the...
Hi kyleighsboo-
The Animal plush in question, I think, was one that was produced exclusively for the Disney Store circa 2006-07. It was part of a series that included Kermit, Fozzie, Gonzo, Miss Piggy and Animal and (I believe) each character was released in 2 sizes: a smaller 10-12 inch...
