Good observation, Pug. I noticed that too when I watched it. There have been a few eps. CTS aired where the sound quality was a bit off, like when it showed the Teresa Brewer, Leslie Uggams and the Kris Kristofferson/Rita Coolidge eps. On some eps. the picture quality is noticeably off too, esp...

Last night I heard when the closing credits rolled during Brooke Shields' ep. that the Anne Murray ep. would be the next to air. I phoned CTS this morning and inquired about what had happened. They said that there were probs with the tape they received (I presume for Tony Randall's ep.) that...
That was a very good link about RCE. I had actually known about some R1 discs presenting problems for some people who own multi-region players. I tried some out last night, including "Spider-Man," and they played just fine. I mention "Spider-Man" because it was listed as being one of the films...
This morning I watched Ebert & Roeper's countdown of the Worst Films of 2003. "Good Boy" made both their lists. Roger Ebert placed it in #8, while Richard Roeper ranked it at #6. Did anybody here see this movie? Based on what I read and saw, it appears to be one *dog* of a film! :boo: :sleep...
I bought it at the House of 220 @ 1444 Gerrard St. E. (Coxwell & Gerrard). Its Web site address is www.houseof220.com. Apparently the Daewoo brand is the only one that is compatible with NTSC TVs. The staff were very helpful and informative when I was researching region-free players. As far as I...
Well folks, I finally did it. Today I bought a Daewoo Region-Free DVD player! It's the S500 model (cost $225 CDN). And tonight I got to play a bit of my first R2 disc, and it happens to be a Muppets release. Before I bought the player I bought the UK release of Muppet Family Christmas & The...
This morning I found an editorial piece somebody at the CBC wrote about The Muppet Show being broadcast on the CTS channel in Toronto. Thought you might like to read it.

Yes this does sound cool! Oscar is one of my faves! Almost makes me want to watch SS again! I'd probably watch it more frequently if I had kids, but knowing that Oscar is going to get more show time gives me some incentive to go relive some childhood days!

Tough Pigs reported it. It must be a reliable source because Amazon.com also has it listed in their upcoming DVD releases (for February 10, 2004).

Two nights ago I read on another Muppet-related site that the two classic Big Bird specials from China and Japan will finally get released on DVD this Feb. 10! I wonder if this is going to lead to other exciting SS reissues? Does anybody known if any other SS DVD releases are planned for this...
Can I throw rotten tomatoes instead? (just kidding) :p
What I really want to say is wow! It's interesting to see another wheelchair user at this forum! I'm also a wheelchair user. I have the same disability as that girl Tarah who used to be on SS (osteogenesis imperfecta; people might see me...
