Oh, was the song "Mahna Mahna" from 1969 on PWMS, or are you speaking of MM or any of his incarnations singing another song like "Fat Cat", "Opposites", etc?
I do hope the answer to the 1969 "Mahna Mahna: is a resounding yes. :)
I guess my least favorites were Diana Ross and Debbie Harry. I could have done without Mark Hamill and just kept Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars episode. (At least the Droids were fun.)
It wasn't on Sing Yourself Silly, and I'd be surprised that they put it out on any American Sesame Street videos, as it really isn't their own song. Part of it does appear, however, on the Shalom Sesame video: "Sing Around the Seasons".
One of my least favorite episodes was the Diana Ross show. I felt that the joke about the audience booing every act that wasn't Diana's went too long for my tastes.
Say, has Angus McGonagle ever appeared on any other show (TMS or otherwise) other than the Star Wars episode? That is, did he ever show up in the background of another skit, even if he wasn't gargling Gershwin?
Another favorite of mine is a two-parter.
Kermit teaches tall and short with 2 Snerfs.
Then he teaches little and big with the help of a little and a big Beautiful Day Monster, and one other monster..... what was his name? :)
Other Kermit skits I love:
-Kermit's "In the Box" lecture with Green Grover
-Kermit's Happy/Sad Faces lecture with Cookie Monster.
-Any Kermit/Grover the salesman Sketch and even Telly the Salesman
