Agreed! Oh, if only! And they could put other Korty things on as bonuses. Turns out his Lumage was used for bits on Electric Company and Sesame Street, too!
Wow, I'm trying to picture the movie with spanish voices. Great that they did that! Glad you found out what it was, too :)
I admit I'm probably guilty of that bias at times, myself. And I'm glad to hear that about the screenwriter, and good for him! Also, I like your optimism. But if things get out of his control, we may be in trouble, ya know? So I just hope "the machine" doesn't do what it normally does. I think...
On "The Charlie Brown & Snoopy Show", I always loved the episode "Snoopy's Robot"! And as for Shermy's comment on the beloved 60's Christmas special, I always thought, "Well Shermy, just be glad you're in this special. It seems you were never on TV after that."
Twice Upon A Time
Well said, Drtooth! And I enjoyed the Lucas comment - I recall on youtube, someone said Lucas won't re-release it, because "It's not Star Wars! He'd rather put that out again." Ha!
I'd like to get this magazine - http://www.animationblast.com/inprint/ under the second picture...
Yes, Stanley was even in a "game & watch" 2 screen game called "Greenhouse". Kind of like DK3 without DK, and there is a ladder he has to go up to stop other bugs from attacking the plants on the other level. I have been told that Stanley's other name is Mr. Game & Watch.
The funny thing is...
I think that was a fair review, Drtooth - I agree I like the situations DK gets in, like in "New Wave Ape" and "Greenhouse Gorilla". The latter being my fave so far of the youtube uploads I've seen!
And Kiki, I liked the Super Mario Bros movie!
By the way, is there a pic of that 1985 plush...
Always wanted to see Rock-A-Doodle, D'Snowth. Thanks for the good word on it!
I'd like to mention "Twice Upon A Time" - story goes that it will probably never make it to DVD because the two creators are so estranged that a fan who made a post on a message board of one's site asking about a DVD...
I assume this is the first time a person played Luigi:

And that this is the first animated Mario:

I agree with all the kind words for Mr. Art Clokey. I grew up with his wonderful worlds and have always remained a fan as well! He was one of a kind, and will definitely be missed
Maybe IMDB.com will show you. I agree on Danny and Lou being the Mario brothers...as much as I liked the cartoon itself, is was their live action bits that really made my day!
I didn't read this whole thread, but "divine weirdness" is a GREAT description of a lot of entertainment I love! Excellent!
For the record, I never saw Klutter, but TTLizards and Eek are great! :)
Very good to hear! Thanks for the info! :) And as you say, now we just have to hope for the best with the funding and the film happening in general, as long as we know it's in good hands.
If only I could add "Spoliers" to the name of this thread now :)
Man, was that last episode one of the most surreal (and sad) scripted tv moments of all time! Just the strangest thing the first time you see it.
I know it was pretty clear that no life could thrive on the planet anymore...
The show was so amazing, that I fear the film will lose something in the translation to whatever "today's entertainment" is supposed to feel like. And since my favorite episode is the last one, and they both play such important roles in it, I highly doubt I could watch it without Jerry Nelson or...
I'd like to thank The Count for letting me know it's MANX MOUSE, not manx cat! :) Now I have seen it on youtube! Prior to that, I thought I'd never see it again...what a difference one word makes! :)
I agree with Drtooth, and actually Sesame Street's writing isn't what it used to be. and I...
