STORYTIME WITH SUPERGODZILLA12!
I would like to title this post A Tragic Sesame Street Christmas!
My copy of A Special Sesame Street Christmas arrived today, along with Barney's Christmas album Happy Holidays, Love Barney, at Chapters. I went to pick them up.
They sent me the version that...
I don't care how big of a company you are... After spending $4 Billion to get Star Wars, you'd think they'd slow down a little...
I mean, seriously... Well, as long as they don't get Barney, I'm OK. (Mattel bought out HiT Entertainment recently, and they're already thinking of...
I went to my local Wal-Mart today (to get Barney: Let's Go to the Doctor, which was released today - I also picked up the original Miracle on 34th Street on DVD for $5 and the Blu-Ray of the 1966 animated Grinch for $9) and while they didn't have any copies of A Special Sesame Street Christmas...
I preordered the DVD from a local DVD shop about a week ago. Sadly, though, it hasn't shipped yet, so it looks like I might be waiting a little longer for my copy.
Nevertheless, when I do get this thing, I'll post here again with my thoughts.
Well, well, no support for Lion King comin' from me:
As for the ones I like:
Fantasia
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Beauty & the Beast
Lilo & Stitch
Winnie the Pooh
And a few others I can't remember off the top of my head at the moment...
OHMEHGAWSH DISNEY OWNS STAR WARS HIDE YO CHILDREN HIDE YO WIVES DAY BUY YA SAWL NEXT!!!!
...Am I the only one who couldn't possibly care less?
Okay, maybe that's not 100% true... is there any possibility of a Star Wars Holiday Special DVD?
Just out of curiosity...
Let's say that Sesame Workshop was to continue producing these Old School sets after this one - How long do you guys feel they could go before the name "Old School" became invalid?
I go to thrift stores often, and I tend to find a lot of Sesame plushies on almost every trip, though I don't often buy them.
In recent months, I have picked up two Kermit plushies - A medium sized Nanco Kermit, and (surprisngly) a Disney Store Kermit in like-new condition! :) In the summer...
I just ran into this underrated, VERY catchy Sesame gem, and thought I'd share it with you guys - This seemed like the approprite thread for it. :wisdom:
I just want to add something to the thread.
From somebody who saw this at the cinema (And no movie since... I really need to get on that)... good lord, you people have NO IDEA how bad these Oogielove costumes looked on the big screen. :concern:
I'll agree with you on that.
At least Blue's Clues had off-screen children awnsering the questions. And even when Barney started talking to his audience (Which was around 2002, with a few earlier cases), he was either suggesting that they follow along with what the other characters were doing...
Awesome! It's great to see that there's more than one fan of the purple guy on here! :super:
Well, to be fair, there are Christmas songs in A Special Sesame Street Christmas - They're just... well, I guess you could call them "different sounding" originals, or that really awkward medely at...
