That maybe true about what Frank said, but the movie did not do well at the box office. It was a flop compared to the 2011 movie, which surprised everyone with how good it did. The fact remains that the Muppets need to stay true to themselves, and the best way to do that is by the current...
I would not call these dark times just yet. Fans are slowly beginning to see what Steve has been trying to do for the Muppets for years. If anything good can come from this it is that, and that fans are now becomeing aware of the battle the Muppets are having.
In the end this is going to unite...
So yes Jim's original deal between Disney would have been great. It would have inculcate Fraggle Rock and all other projects as well. With the Exception of the Sesame, which Jim was very protective of Sesame, because he knew that if Disney had a hand in it, that the show would be ruined...
The deal with Jim and Disney was supposed to be different then the current situation. Henson would have still have some creative control. With this new deal Disney owns everything and controls everything creative wise.
I feel really bad for Matt. He is going to have a very tough road ahead of him. It was different when he was Caroll's and Jerry's understudy. Unless he was also Steve's witch seems unlikely.
As for the negative reaction, it's already starting to show.
I want to make it clear that I have the upmost faith in Matt, and that he will do and do a great job with Kermit. It's just not his time, and Steve should still be the man who is behind the frog. I don't want peole to think I don't support Matt because I do it's just not his time.
if that blog is really from Steve then it's a much bigger picture then him just preforming Kermit. It seems that he was the one who was "fighting the good fight" for the Muppets. I don't think that that is something to take lightly.
