i love that moment from The Fantastic Miss Piggy Show, where they have that big fight but then she sings to him, and he starts to glow. that was a very sweet moment
yeah, i don't want them to be rushed either. i want it to be just as good as the last one, so whatever time they need is ok with me
the worst thing would be to have such great success with the first comeback movie, only to then come out with a mediocre sequel just 2 years later, because it was...
i agree with the ending they chose for MTM, because it really does make for a lovely, happily-ever-after ending shot, at least for the film.
and whether the wedding was "real" or not, the scene and the ending itself basically cemented kermit and piggy together forever in the eyes of audiences...
wow. that is QUICK
they can't possibly have the script yet. can they? i guess i did read some interview last year where nick stoller said he already had some ideas for the next one, but still.
i have to agree though, that i don't think it should just be called The Muppets 2. come on, they...
yeah, and it kinda makes things more confusing actually...because after MTM, kermit and piggy were always going back and forth in "real life" on their talk show appearances and stuff about whether they were married or not. but then if they have them play their "real selves" in this movie and...
so, the movie was kind of confirming that they really were married then.
i wonder why they decided to redo it this way. maybe they didn't want there to be such a clear cut confirmation of their marriage in the final cut
you know, i'm not exactly sure why disney is so set on hiding the puppeteers, even in special features and stuff. there's a behind the scenes video of MCC that had everything shown on it, and they still had the characters talking as themselves and all, but also interviews and clips with people...
all of the jim henson era specials released. that's what i want.
muppets go hollywood, a christmas together, go to the movies, fantastic miss piggy show, rocky mountain holiday, a celebration of 30 years, muppet family christmas, muppets at disney world, and muppets celebrate jim henson...
i agree. i also can't help but notice he finally seemed to develop more of his own kermit when frank oz retired
i wonder if that had something to do with his ability to start developing a rapport with someone new in the characters of fozzie and piggy. because he never really gelled...
well, i think they were once they were all reintroduced and gathered together
i don't know how necessary the breakup explanation was. i think it was enough that they had broken up in the past at some point- most of kermit and piggy's relationship has always been ambiguous. every person i know...
i have no idea. maybe the person who wrote that has inside info. i hope so!
i also keep wondering why they're taking so long to release TMM and GMC on blu-ray. and MCC. i desperately want those movies in my collection.
i like the cheapest muppet movie ever made idea- they might go for that and re-tweak it a bit
i also like the idea of them on some big adventure around the world, because then they could maybe split up and have segments with different pairs of them. i mostly just want them to be themselves and...
there's gotta be some way to do a new muppet show, with the way things are changing now for television- i just think it doesn't necessarily HAVE to be a prime-time show on abc. i mean, cable and the internet has made things different for so many shows just in the last 5-6 years. i really think...
actually fozzie and piggy rarely had scenes together on the show. in the specials and movies, yes, but they probably had more time to do that and it was easier
