One more thing on Palpatine...it's amazing how much we love to dislike him, since his actor Ian McDiarmid seems to be such a friendly person! The man who did the original Palpatine voice, Clive Revill, is also super nice, I hear!
I tried to find out here: http://creativetimes.blogspot.com/2009/11/fran-brill-first-lady-of-sesame-street.html but I don't know the answer. I would guess she feels proud of that, as she should! Is that the answer?
Hey now, The Waterhorse and Hugo were both great. Do you really think they're both bad, or is that just a reaction to the negative review of the 2011 Muppet film? As of this writing, it's the only Muppet production that (to me) has moments that aren't so great, but those moments pass by quickly...
I echo this sentiment 100%! This was such a touching segment of the film, and such beautiful music to go with it perfectly! I look forward to this so much.
Revamped versions of songs we all know - and what makes them strange to me is the new lyrics:
Indian Thriller - with "fake" lyrics:
Indian Thriller - This uploader says these are the real lyrics:
Indian Beatles
Waldo, Lew Zealand, Droop, Uncle Deadly, and Digit for starters! (I'm assuming there aren't any of those!) I would've said Bean Bunny, but I've learned that he was made into a few of those.
And yet it's just as amazing as the song that opens the film, and as the performances from Jim Varney, and everything else about the film! :) I bet that song is another part of the humor in that perfect film. I agree it doesn't make sense in regards to the film, but maaaan, is it funny! :D
I like the song they sing in that link at 7:49 Drtooth! I know it has a little "Twist and Shout" (hence the parody title "Twitch and Writhe") and a little "Do You Love Me" but there's something else in there, too.
I will be calling the CGI/live action Chipmunks films "the CGI films" for short.
Right on! I adore the original series and the 80's/early 90's series, so the CGI films, though good in some ways, still had much I didn't like. I wasn't surprised they "updated" everything to appeal to current...
I guess it didn't show up when I searched because (at the time of this writing) "Little" and "Monotones" aren't tags in the vid - which reminds me to always type "Sesame Street" with the song title, rather than the Sesame musical artist name :)
Thanks Oscarfan/MarshalGrover! Though you may not...
All Muppeteers should have a doc about them, and they should all get made right now! :grouchy: Haha. But I sure would love a Jerry Nelson documentary. Bonus materials on the DVD could include videos of him making music - including the videos of those two songs he did in concert that are not on...
Out of all the songs listed at http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/Little_Jerry_and_the_Monotones "Rock 'N Roll Star" is the only one I couldn't find on youtube. Is it around somewhere? All others show up with a search except for "When You Move the Mouse" which is here:
I sure would love a new...
Yes, it's part of "Pink Panther & Pals" and I like it a lot - the whole show. They changed a few things, and it would have been nice to have John Byner back as the Ant and Aardvark, (no offense to the two new voices) but overall it's true to the original Pink Panther and Ant & Aardvark cartoons...
"Do De Rubber Duck" is one of my most favorite SS moments of all time! So many great SS moments...so many great Jim Henson & Friends related moments in general. We're so lucky to be fans of their creations. :)
:sing: Sounds like this:
Though it's not as flashy as the version mentioned in the description you gave (I'd love to see that!) it's still really cool.
:D Oh yeah! I would love that! What rockin' fun that would be!
Wow, so Little Jerry talks in both of those scenes? Are there any clips on...
Thanks for stopping in to talk to us CopperPot! It's so very wonderful that you're making this film! I am looking forward to it so much, and it's kind of a shame that it can't be a 12 hour film or something, because once you've got all the footage you want together (both newly recorded just for...
Love them both 100%. Both achieved different things, being different style movies:
GREMLiNS is often quite dark, though it has funny moments too. Both types of moments are strange in the best way. It tells a story with a lot of wonderful atmosphere, including the Jerry Goldsmith score for it...
