That is so very nice of Francis and Fran. :)
Reminds me of the old saying "Sometimes you need to be cruel in order to be kind." Very appropriate wouldn't you say Caroline? ;)
Kyle picks up poor Marty's bruised and battered head and inserts 2 aspirin tablets in its mouth.
But the tennis racket is still firmly in place where it should go, so he ties it firmly to the racket until something can be done about it.
Second Sunday was great. The Majors are back from their holidays and Colin's wife Pam spoke about various bridges using it as an illustration of how we are called in our lives to build spiritual bridges across the chasm of sin so others can be led to Christ. Jesus Himself is ultimately the only...
Yeah. I'm sure that most people like myself had naturally taken for granted that that was going to be the standard re-curring trademark feature of the Muppet Show season sets.
It just dawned on me that strictly speaking the piggies in neither version were really done in of course. They survived, providing you choose to believe that my little story about the family with the trampoline at the bottom of the mountain, whether told with the males or the females, is true...
And Caroline, even though I seem to recall you posting somewhere that you preferred the goat to stay male in my different version, if you really like the idea now we can say in future that the female piggies were done in by "Evil Fran" the lady goatie. ;)
Frances is the way my Aunt spells her name and I just thought that when it's used for a man it should be spelled Francis but I'm not really certain on that.
Thinking about this old post by Beth also gave me the funny thought that when I re-wrote that story of mine naming the female piggies after Karen Prell, Kathy Mullen and Louise Gold I could have also made the evil goat a woman naming her after Sesame Street Muppeteer Fran Brill.
Sort of poetic...
It's been a long time but I thought I'd mention now that because Frank Oz had made the baa-ing sounds of the evil goat laughing, I had considered giving him the name of Frances after Frank just like I had named the piggies after their performers: Jerry, Richard and Dave. But in the end I didn't.
I remember seeing it and it was definitely dogs. In fact as I recall towards the end of the number when they were all singing the line "Oh lonesome me" they were even getting the Oh part to resemble the sound of dogs howling.
Many Happy Returns to you dear Sylinde for your recent birthday.:D
I hope you really had a wonderful time and that things are working out well for you in your life.:flirt:
Ah. There's another climactic explosion. Only one so far hasn't had it.
I've no idea what muppet the Hippocritic Oaf is but I like this little story as much as all the others. :D
I half expected you to have Crazy Harry set off another explosion at the conclusion as a running gag trademark. But it's great stuff. I think my favourite part is the brief reference to the Banana Sketch. Well done. :D
