This is getting to be some bad news. My friends in college could do a better performance. It's like Artie's hand is too small inside Kermit, and Lady Gaga doesn't really seem like she wanted to go on about Piggy's texts. Plus it's so fake. I thought I hated when Kermit did the whole 'dodging...
Ok for all of you people who are upset with me, sorry but I'm sticking to it. To me, I see it as not being any different from George Lucas messing up Star Wars. If any of you have a problem with what I have to say, feel free to IM me, so this discussion can stay open.
I'll watch what I say...
I have kept up on the Muppets. I've seen the specials, the webbys, what have you. I'd say the web spots and the appearance on SNL with Horatio Sanz are the only two things worth mentioning in 10 years.
And sorry... ERIC JACOBSON. Sorry if I couldn't remember the guy who could puppeteer and...
I'm gonna make this short and sweet...
Steve has turned Kermit into a borderline flamboyant frog for 19 years. During that time, Richard Hunt has passed away, Frank Oz left only to be taken over by Erikson, Brian Henson lost his brain, Disney tried taking control, and we haven't had a Muppet...
The puppetry wasn't good, but at least Kermit didn't sound as flamboyant as Steve's Kermit. They have GOT to find someone who can act and do more than just bits about Piggy where the main part isn't just Kermit denying being with Piggy, or Kermit making awful puns about being a frog... awful...
Hey guys, I've seen quite a few of you on here who are excellent at making your own puppets as well as Muppet replicas, and I would like to see if anyone out there would be interested in making me a couple puppets of my own. If you'd be interested please email me at lucasbervin@yahoo.com...
Hey folks, how's it goin? Well I've seen nearly every episode of The Muppet show, except for the Lola Falana, Beverly Sills, Shirley Bassey and Debbie Harry episodes. If you can help me out then maybe I can do something for you in return. I've got yahoo and aol messenger. Please send me a PM...
They don't even look that good though... they look worse than the robotic ones they put on bicycles or their photo shoots. I still might get the Kermit one though.
What about Rowlf, Scooter, Floyd, Dr. Teeth or Lew Zealand? Produce those and I might check 'em out.
Remember, it's just a sketch, a sketch that's meant to be absurd. They're not gonna be able to do the entire bit just like from the movie... it's SNL and it's gonna be more for adults. Frankly, Will Forte sounded just like Whitmire's Kermit. I also think it's cool we got a group of SNL members...
