Video: "A Swingin’ Sesame Street Celebration" with Wynton Marsalis, Friday October 25 and Saturday October 26, 2019

What a fantastic show! Chris Hayes does great as Hoots, and I loved full-body Ernie on the moon. The Oscar puppet used for the concert wasn't so great, and why the heck did Abby revert back to her old dress just for this show? If anyone missed it, the concert is preserved right here:

Sesame Street get a bit Jazzy in October at the Lincoln Center....

I'm excited to see with Christopher Hayes can do with Hoots. I also hope someone records this livestream just in case it's not preserved.

Disney Muppet Babies Season 2 Episode 5 - Tagalong Polliwog / Sparkly Star Switcheroo

Both episodes were really fun. I liked the idea of Robin's tail giving him abilities that the other kids can't do. It was nice seeing Rowlf again. I'm interested to see what other story lines they can do with him.

"Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Celebration" special to air November 9 on HBO and November 17 on PBS

So do we know when the pledge-drive 50th anniversary special will air? Cause if it's different from this, I don't wanna miss it.

    The New New Quote Thread

Steve Swanson and JD Hansel are largely negative reviewing Curious Creations of Christine McConnell. Steve: It's like they just decide all of a sudden, now it's a cooking show. Like it's funny, the little cat character, there's a couple things I did enjoy about it. One of them is whenever...

Sesame Street Season 49 Episode 4929 - Oscar Uncanned

This Muppet Wiki article should help you know what times Caroll voiced Big Bird and Oscar after Matt and Eric became the official performers. https://muppet.fandom.com/wiki/Caroll_Spinney_character_transitions

Our very own Muppetspot and Ploobis called into the latest show. If you don't have time to watch the whole thing, at least watch 38:12 to 42:28. A delay happens and Steve uses it to his advantage and makes it very funny.

Disney Muppet Babies Season 2 Episode 4 - The Great Muppet Cook-Off / Animal and the Egg

I really liked the running gag of Gonzo being able to understand Chef. I also liked Summer's song in Animal and the Egg. Jessica DiCicco has a pretty singing voice. Also, the credits finally told us who voices Camilla, the voice of Piggy, Melanie Harrison!

This was really great. Seeing Fozzie's mother was a highlight.

    Sesame Street Season 49 Episode 4905 - Elmo's Factory

I posted that before we knew what the special would be. Now we know that Caroll will be appearing as himself interacting with Matt's Big Bird and Eric's Oscar. His final performance is for a street story that will air in season 50. As a Muppet fan, you should know that voice changes are...

    The New New Quote Thread

This is to prove to @datman24 that Elmo has more than one emotion. Ryan Dillon: I felt the first time I had it and I felt confidant with Elmo was a show that Chrissy Ferraro wrote. She writes Elmo in such a wonderful way, because she can really access all his emotions, Elmo's not always happy in...

Official: Elmo’s Staying Up Late Show coming to HBO Max on May 27, 2020

I think that sounds interesting. Ryan is a great improviser just like Kevin, so I think giving Elmo a talk show would be great to let his comedic abilities shine. I also hope we'll see the other characters as the crew, like Cookie Monster could do craft services, Big Bird could be Elmo's...

He didn't parody Dark Crystal because he wasn't asked to do the Netflix series, he did it because he's aware that some Henson fans, like me, think the Dark Crystal looks really pretty, but the content is just boring.

Comments like that are kinda why I avoided putting Steve's name in the thread title. Anyway, Weldon is funny. I like when he said "Ya see, there are words that mean things."

    Meeting Muppet performers at DragonCon

So I just got home from DragonCon, and let me tell ya, it was a heck of an experience! First I met Peter Linz. He was coaching these puppeteers doing something called "Puppet Ninja Challenge." And to show them how proud he was, he brought out Walter! I could not believe Walter was right in front...

Weldon the IT Guy (Internet Troll)

Steve Whitmire now has his own puppet character named Weldon who's a literal Internet troll. He's really funny I think. Here's the first of his live shows that he did last night:
