Actually, I believe they have the liscense for all the TMS-related movies, shows and specials now, which would include JHH (someone correct me if I'm wrong). The only reason they haven't done any JHH figures is because that's a really obscure show and they have a lot more figures to get through...
But if Viacom deals with Henson, they'll most likely slot them in their Nick Jr. programming, thinking they're on the same level with Fairly Oddparents or something. When TMS aired on Nick in the early 90's, that was where they were slotted.

Ain't It Cool News reports that Farscape will return as a 4-hour miniseries with Brian directing.
Then comes this from TVGuide.com:

Still more reports (nothing official yet, though. Keep in mind that "Confirmed" and "The Rumors are True" are their words, not mine):

I'm with Kev. As long as it's not a buyout, I'm cool with it. I don't want the same people who mismanaged Disney's feature animation department to be in charge of the Muppets. However, Columbia TriStar hasn't been all that great for the Muppets. They need someone with a big marketing reach, and...
Well, it's 11:50 p.m. by my clock, so there's still just enough time to post this today.
A major milestone: the first Mickey Mouse cartoon, "Steamboat Willie," was released 75 years ago today (Nov. 18, 1928).
Happy birthday, Mickey!
Nobody knows. That's one of the many, many problems with MFS: the whole movie is supposed to be about finding out where Gonzo is from. In the end, we learn...he's from space. Which is what we knew from the title of the film anyway.
Well, "taking a holiday" is another way to say "going on vacation." That was the meaning they were going for, though clearly more than one person has been confused by the title. Even the video stores often put this one in the "Holiday" section.
As has been pointed out on TP, it was a year ago today that Kermit got his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The mayor (?) declared that day was Kermit the Frog Day. That's as good as an annual holiday for me.
So...happy Kermit the Frog Day, everyone! (Especially to Kermit.)
Exciting update!
Hey, guys, just got this from Secret Squirrel over at TP:
"Wizard of Oz. It's for ABC. Kirk will direct."
For those of you who don't know, Secret Squirrel is an anoymous poster who may work for the Henson Company (Phil may know for sure; we don't). At any rate, his info...
A beacon of hope...
And I'm right back to being optimistic again. First, there's this from TVGuide.com:
"That Farscape press conference we told you about yesterday, during which producers were going to "announce an exciting new development in the campaign to continue" the franchise, has been...
I apologize -- I forgot you might need some clarification since you're new. Phillip Chapman is the creator of this website and the head moderator of the forum. The Kermit logo he uses for his onscreen icon is very recognizable (when you've seen it a few times). When Phil says something, you know...
Addendum
Sorry, folks. Should have known it was too good to be true. Here's the latest from SaveFarscape.com:
According to SaveFarscape.com:
"you may have seen the reports of a possible Farscape related press conference set for tomorrow, at TVGuide.com, Dark Horizons or Cinescape. The word...
I just saw this, posted today at TVGuide.com:
FAR OUT!: Hey, 'Scapers — this is the news you've been waiting for! The Jim Henson Company is holding a press conference Thursday to "announce an exciting new development in the campaign to continue Farscape." Among those participating in the media...
Denkel, PLEASE read all of the posts in a thread before posting. Phil already posted that this special is not being released on DVD, at least not this year.
That said, welcome to the forum. :)
Sigh -- Cyndi, Cyndi, Cyndi. Sweet, beautiful, adorable Cyndi. I've been thinking about her a lot lately. I was just watching The Goonies DVD with her music videos on it, and my roommate just played me a RealOne video of (of all things) "We Are the World." (I have no idea why he did this; he...
Yeah! I noticed that when going through the Season 2 guide. I had seen the same intros over and over so many times, I just assumed I'd seen them all. I was astonished to read about all the ones I'd missed. I wish they could have used more of a variety of intros for the Time-Life collection...but...
Jent and Rockie,
Re-read Phil's post again (#17). I think you missed something. :smirk: It's *definitely* not out now, nor is it going to be released this holiday season at all. So don't wear out the soles of your shoes looking for it anymore. ;)
If it's released next year, MC will be...
