Oh, I still think so too, Byron. I'm just trying to be diplomatic to other points of view. :)
Luke, you make a good point. Disney has a lot in its roster right now, not to mention the competition from other family films. I hope they're able to balance their schedule in such a way that nothing...
Well, in the end I suppose it isn't a big deal. I mean, a person could technically start with Prince Caspian, then move on to Silver Chair, and continue to read the books in random order. The books are probably good enough to withstand any reading order, but all of us will have our favorites, I...
Thanks for the info, Buck. At least it'll be a big finale.
I just got an e-mail from another friend--word on the street is that SMG is open to appearing in the finale.
Actually, Foz, I think your order probably places the book second in the series, not third. The two common numbering systems are:
Chronological/Historical Order (the current numbering used on the books):
1. The Magician's Nephew
2. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
3. The Horse and...
Luke,
That's actually one of the key debates about the books. The publisher's current numbering system is NOT the one embraced by Narnia fans. The current order is correct chronologically according to Narnian history, but Lewis wrote the stories in a different order. Most Narnia purists...
In light of all the other developments of the past month, I thought this was noteworthy.
Again, I'm optimistic. Andrew Adamson's a talented director; Walden has already promised the movies will be faithful to the books; and previous Walden/Disney collaborations have been well-recieved...
Wow! Fantastic article, Annika! Nicely balances the other article on the page. I totally sympathize with the fears Phil expressed, but this article comes closer to explaining about how I feel about the whole situation.
Scary Larry, I'm not sure Annika was trying to say that Jim's vision is...
Good article, Phil. I'm a little more optimistic than you are, but there are definitely many question marks for the future.
I can't believe this is actually happening. We've had so many "fake-outs." It's been 15 years--the thoughts of it actually happening seemed ludicrous.
And yet, here...
No figures, sorry. There will be PVCs, though, which are like mini-figures in cool poses. Take a look at the Muppet PVCs from Pallisades in the Merchandise section of this site. Labyrinth PVCs have the potential to be really cool.
The article also said there will be miniature statues. I...
The movie will definitely be animated. And I'm looking forward to it.
Thanks for posting the article, Ernie81981! It's a thoughtful article, and it's nice to read one I haven't seen already. (There's another article that everyone keeps posting over and over again, it seems.)
P.S. I forgot to add: this week's Angel episode is well worth-watching. Angel gets transformed by some evil kid's show producers into a puppet! Drew Massey, a sometimes Henson puppeteer who performed Count Blah on Greg the Bunny, is performing the Angel puppet. Several other puppeteers when...
Very sad indeed. Lots of Internet sites are going crazy over the news.
We're hoping for word that it might get picked up by UPN or something...but it doesn't seem very likely.
Well, at least the writers know what's happening several episodes before the final one films. They have time to...
Miss Piggy never appeared on Sesame Street. She never appeared in a background shot, either. It's one of those "urban legends" that's popped up over time, but chalk it up to faulty memories and vivid imaginations. :) No one who says they've seen her on there is able to produce any clips or...
Buck-Beaver,
Check the first article that you posted again. It's for Neverwhere, NOT Mirror Mask -- two seperate productions. That's why you're getting confused.
Neverwhere has not been filmed yet -- that's what the first article is talking about. Mirror Mask has been filmed and is in...
Woo-hoo!! This is fantastic news! Obviously I'm looking for any Fiery merchandise I can find. They mentioned posters--I'm hoping for quality reprints of the original movie posters.
Can't wait!
P.S. Alorin Danya, like your pic. But where's it from? That image of David Bowie could be from a...
Very cool, Phil -- a much more streamlined look. I like it! And the calendar will be very useful indeed.
One suggestion: there should be more differentiation between the news articles and the discussion threads. I know that's how you had it before and you're trying to remove away from that...
Thanks, MuppetDanny. That's funny how they broke up Seasons 2 and 3 differently than we did over in the U.S., so that Season 2 had 30 episodes and Season 3 had 18, instead of both of them having 24 episodes.
Yeah, that was definitely the same commercial. Same ending line and everything. Though now that you mention it, at the beginning, Piggy is looking at a building which, until just now, I thought was the Eiffel Tower. But it can't be. What was that building?
Somebody please help!
It's been a rough week for childhood icons. Ray Rayner also passed away this week. Those of you outside of Chicago don't know who he is, I'm sure, but he had his own show where he introduced cartoons (which I remember quite well), and he was also Sandy the Clown during the early years of the...
Random EMO Fan, are you sure it was set in Paris? One of the NY spots has the gang putting on glasses and dark suits and going to see "The Producers."
Rizzo: Does this one have any cats in it?
Fozzie: I don't think so.
Maybe it looked like Paris since you weren't wearing your glasses. ;)
