I've always understood that to be ignorance on the part of Scooter- i.e. I think maybe he heard it on the radio or something and didn't realize that it was actually an Elton John song...;)
That would be awesome! And yeah- I love all of Sesame Street- and particularly the Alphabeats and Monotones- those songs are classic. How can you not love "Count It Higher" and "Telephone Rock"? Those are two of my favorite songs on the show. "Rock 'N' Roll Readers" is also a favorite for me-...
After seeing the recent trailer (and granted, yes- I'll probably still see the actual movie just to give it a fair shake)- but I do find it kinda funny and kinda scary at the same time that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in this movie look pretty similar to the Goombas in the "Super Mario...
Thanks for all the replies- now that fuzzygobo mentioned Susan possibly holding a script there, it makes sense that this could be a shot that's not actually in an episode. I know "Christmas Eve on Sesame Street" is by far one of Kermit's biggest appearances for interaction with the rest of the...
I love the music of Sesame Street and particularly the songs from these bands- Little Chrissy and the Alphabeats, Little Jerry and the Monotones and all the others listed- those would be great collections on DVD! I would definitely welcome them.:):insatiable::wisdom:
I'm open to more literary adaptations if The Muppets want to tackle them- "The Muppet Christmas Carol" and "Muppet Treasure Island" are both great movies as far as I'm concerned- I love them!:) (But I love all the Muppet productions, at least to some degree. It's hard for me to not love...
In looking through Wikipedia for something else, I happened across this outside shot of Kermit's apartment on Sesame Street. Does anyone happen to know what episode this is from? I'd be interested in checking out this Sesame Street episode and any others where Kermit is involved in the street...
I was ecstatic to see Link Hogthrob getting some screen time and actual lines! Yay for Link! And definitely- great to see Scooter, Rowlf and The Electric Mayhem getting more of a presence- they are mainstays and should always be there as far as I'm concerned.;):sympathy::D:sing::flirt::cool::halo:
Thanks for the report on the Alphabet Songs DVD. I've been behind in watching all my Sesame Street DVDs, but I still like to keep an eye on things and check them out when I can.:wisdom::)
If we're going to include non-Disney owned clips on the video game idea, could we sneak in some footage of the Fraggles in "Muppet Family Christmas" and some of the Sesame Street gang while we're at it? (Maybe the "Open Sesame" gag from the Marty Feldman episode of "The Muppet Show".) Also, it'd...
I don't like everything about The Muppets' Wizard of Oz TV-movie either, but there are a number of things I do love about it- the music, for one. And I think there were some good character moments there, as you said for Gonzo particularly. Personally, I feel that Gonzo was in great form in...
Are you maybe thinking of "A Sesame Street Christmas Carol"? That's a 2006 direct-to-video special that did indeed feature an appearance by Mr. Hooper (obviously in archival footage- it was clips with him and Ernie and Bert:p:( from "Christmas Eve on Sesame Street") - since Oscar the...
Yeah- it seemed crazy to me that no one's suggested that yet- like, ever. That's probably why Disney hasn't released it yet...Now we can get the ball rolling...:D:news::search::p:(:wisdom:
A Thog figure was made- or at least a mini-figure. Hey, if we want to get crazy, how about a Thig figure?
Or Betsy Bird or Sam and Yorick and Gaffer and Brewster and Wally and The Beaver(s) (from the "For What It's Worth" number):):insatiable::skeptical::fishy:
I don't know if anyone has ever suggested this before, but I was thinking it would be really awesome for the Muppets' 60th. anniversary if Disney would release The Muppet Show Season 4 and Season 5 on DVD.:smirk:;)
Wow- I had no idea the "Muppet Treasure Island" soundtrack went for such expensive prices...the CD is going for like $30 at the cheapest on Amazon.com and other places... I guess it's good I managed to pick up this CD some years ago at a thrift store somewhere...I'd suggest checking local thrift...
I don't remember Gonzo being that incredibly depressed in "A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa". Yes, he was fairly depressed though, mainly because he felt responsible for diverting some of the children's letters to Santa Claus and thus, he felt like he had ruined Christmas for them. (Not to...
