I just remembered. I also used to watch ALF ofcourse. And I remember watching DJ Kat on Skychannel or something. He was a puppet of a cat hosting a kidsshow. In other words he just filled up the space between the cartoons.
I found another Dutch show I almost forgot wich was also about a bear...
I grew up in the Netherlands. So it was different for me. Besides the regular Sesame Street and The Fraggles etc. I used to watch Dutch puppetshows. Here's a few of them:
1} De Bereboot (The Bearboat)

This was a show about bears on a boat. The...
I know Kevin Clash as the voice of Splinter In the TMNT movies. But I just found out he also did Captain Kangaroo. I just can't find out what it is he did for that show exactly. Anyway I never saw it either :p I just heard alot about it.
heh :p Ironicaly enough I just got an email from http://www.fantasy-factory.nl/ telling me that I can call them to make an appointment. Apparently they do want to show me how they build their puppets etc. They've just finished a Dutch movie called Pluk van de Petteflet for wich they built and...
I both agree and disagree. I myself am uneducated. Well...not that I don't know anything. But I never finished any education because I have problems with dealing with faulty lesson plans. I have a high IQ but in the meantime I have problems with the right and left side of my brain not...
Puppets ofcourse :P No but seriously. I'm trying to go for a realistic style. See how close I can come to making it look like a real human being. Eventually I would want to be able to use them for dramatic scenes instead of comical scenes wich puppets are mostly used for. I'll see what becomes...
Thanks again :) Im already looking for a professional supplier. But in the mean time I still have some food coloring and acrylic paint I could test. Right now I'm kinda broke but perhaps next month I can order something.
I'm relaxed :)
Yeah they are different. Atleast here in the Netherlands we are not allowed by law to make copies of copies. We are allowed to tape a certain program but not to share that copy. Nobody really cares though. But I don't usually share these things. Except with my best friend...
I know most of you deal with foam instead of latex. But I thought I'd ask anyway. I've been experimenting with latex to make sure that when I make a mold that I won't make any mistakes.
I want to put some color into it if that's possible. But I'm not using professional latex. I use regular...
Oh I see. So that's why the foam looks so weird. I thought you just added a layer of latex so air wouldn't be able to get to it or something. I just use regular foam used in furniture etc. (It's blue) The company that makes it is in the next town and I can order it directly from them for much...
Nice diagram :) Exactly what I was thinking of aswell. My friend told me this wouldn't work so I didn't even try it. But I had the same idea. Apparently I was right. Well it's time to try out different materials then. Thanks a whole bunch for the tip! :) I really appreciate it.
As for...
I have a couple of questions:
The first one is for Andrew. When looking at your Tumbles Project I noticed that the foam seems to be covered with something. It looks to me like you covered the foam with latex. If so... how do you do that? and why?
My second question is about hands. I'm...
I could only find this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=16465&item=5929424050&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW Wich is probably one of the newer versions.
