Frank comes out from the door on the left at the back and stops just behind Gonzo at his "Stop The Presses" line. He has a wig on though but the mustache is still there.... he he heee... You can't miss him!
I recall asking Steve Whitmire what happened to Lips, probably when we were doing Muppets Wizard of Oz. As I recall he said that he was officially retired from the gang - probably because they didn't know what to do with him. Same for Beauregard, although I must say I miss him. I'd like to see...
Oh you are welcome. TGMC was a special time for me and I have many fond memories. I'll check on the club name.. I may be wrong.... 26 years can do things to your brain!
All I have for models is:
Erica Creer ... Marla
Kate Howard ... Carla
Della Finch ... Darla
If there's anyone else, they...
By the way trivia fans....
Remember when Gonzo looks out the hotel room window at the pidgeons? Well those pidgeon sounds were actually added in post by Louise Gold and Kathy Mullen!
You learn something new every day huh?
Well let's see here... as I remember, they had different sizes of Miss Piggy masks. The one that dove into the pool was a young girl. I think her foam head got all waterlogged and caused her a few problems during shooting.
The one walking off over the cobblestones with the church bells in...
They built replica foam Muppets and actually threw them out of a plane for the wide shots. Most of them landed in farmer's fields over Hatfield, England!!! :D I''m niot sure if they ever actually found them all - ha haaa!!!
Hello again puppet people!
I trust you are all doing well? I just wanted to give you a head's up that I am beginning my second batch of Quinneys while I have the chance. I'm ending the orders at midnight Pacific time September 3rd. Just thought you might like to know as this will be the last...
Hey Jerry,
You have always had nothing but the utmost respect from me. I have learned so much from watching your performances over the years. I wish I could work with you again some day. Give my best to Jan. Keep resting and take care.
Your biggest (and maybe) oriiginal fan,
Mike Quinn
Hey James. Much thanks, but you've built more puppets than I've had hot dinners!!! Great work there. I'm surprised we've not met before now. Must be an East & West coast problem eh?
Thanks!
Mike
Hello all.
Glad to see plenty of puppet making activity here on this thread. When Dave Barclay and I had our old company in England, we gave a lot of professional puppetry workshops. I designed these simple hand and rodded arm puppets to assist learning this style of puppetry. First we would...
Big ol' Nien Nunb...
Hi Dollynibble. Thanks for stopping by @ Milton Keynes. Sorry I was getting sick at the time. All better now though. Anyway, Nien Nunb actually was human size. There were 2 versions- one a walkaround costume with no facial acting and the other a hand puppet (actually a...
Let's get a campain going!
Glad you liked the show. We are thinking of re-issuing it worldwide. How did you see the show in the USA? I believe it was never shown here...
Thanks everyone!
Thank you one and all for wishing me a happy birthday (and for those 41 pnches). Coincidentally I'm actually working on a shoot for a puppet program today so I'll be having fun with some good people at least.
Thanks and take care all!!!
Mike :D
International Fraggle "can-o'worms"....
Well it's all quite complicated but for the record... here goes:
Part of the genius of Fraggle Rock was to allow other countries to create their own co-production, which meant the human and Sprocket " wraparounds" and localised Traveling Matt segments...
Extra Thoughts....
Well now... this is an interesting thread isn't it?
Hi Craig. that CD you sent me, I couldn't get to work unfortunately.
Hi Mak. I miss working with you. Your name came up recently somewhere and we spoke very fondly of you. Let's work together again.
