You mean Disney doesn't own both Classic Muppets and Sesame Street? I had no idea! *faints dead away*
Seriously, when you said SST figures would likely cost more I thought you meant they would cost consumers more than Muppet figures. SST could charge more for their license, but there is...
I could be wrong on this, but I don't think a straight reissue is possible.
Sony currently has the license for SST music and video/DVD releases. If Columbia released the album (or an album) year ago, I sincerely doubt they'd hand over the rights and masters and just let Sony eat up the...
I agree with Luke. If you want to complete the band, the cheapest way to do it is Tour Animal.
As far as playsets go, the Kitchen has the most play value. The EM stage is great for setting up a display with the band, but the kitchen comes with all that stuff! If you go with Tour Animal...
I agree with Jamie about Kermit's clothing. Doesn't work for me at all. Maybe if it were 1989....
I like Gonzo and Animal best of what they have there, but I'm hoping for a naked Kermit, Pepe, Rowlf, and Beaker.
Yes, we have series three with tux Rowlf and the piano. All the regular series three figures are out-- Rowlf, Zoot, Lew Zealand, and Scooter. We're waiting on the kitchen playset with Chef. The exclusive Superhero Scooter should be out in June (from Toy Fare) and tour Animal will be available...
Scott
I haven't broken out her set of the Palisades figures yet, but I did get a set of the old Fisher Price stick puppet figures for her. They are a little better suited to toddler play.
Yesterday, at her music class, the kids were supposed to be frogs. All the kids said 'ribbit ribbit'...
:D Okay, point taken. But my Sesame Street books are in my studio and her Sesame Street books are on her bookshelf. I do get to borrow hers, but she only gets to look at mine under strict supervision.
We each have our own collection of figures as well. It's not that I can't share, just...
These sorts of boas are always going to shed a little. As long as you aren't rough with it, it should only be a few feathers and shouldn't detract from the look. It is pretty easy to find them in craft stores, and you'll probably find a little pile of feathers under the display....
Palisades is running a contest this week for the coolest Muppet figure display. There are some pretty amusing entry pics on their board in the 'impromptu contest' thread in the Muppets folder. If you haven't checked it out, take a look. Fun stuff!
Thanks! :)
Glad you like them. Warhol Kermits is my favorite. I had that design in my head for a while and it's great to finally have it done. Tutu Pepe was, of course, something I really wanted to do, but I've never been satisfied with that design. And there's too much blank space...
A few people have been asking me when I'd put up pictures of some new quilts. I've added two. You can see them by clicking the link in my sig.
Jamie-- thanks again for your suggestions on Warhol Kermit. They made a big difference! :D
Jamie can have his rules about sandals (whatever-- if my feet are comfy I don't care what they look like-- I've been known to wear my birks in the snow), but as a general rule, I don't want to see anyone's mother in a tube top.
*considers own wardrobe and state of motherhood* Maybe I...
Nate--
After reading your post I took out my figures and investigated what sort of articulation is necessary for a decent pirouette. A T joint crotch is much better than swivel legs. However, the legs need to move back, not just forward (Tux Rowlf's legs only move forward-- due to the size...
Ack! Nate, I can hear my old ballet teacher's cane banging the floor: Pirouette. ;)
I think tutu Pepe is a much more interesting figure than bellhop Pepe. Yes, it was one brief scene, but a very memorable scene and such a wonderful expression of who  is. The bellhop outfit...
Series 2 busts are shipping, what do people think of them?
 Waldorf looks much better in person than in the pictures we've seen. I was plesantly surprised.
:boo: Statler is also better than I expected, but something about his mouth bugs me.
:concern: I'm quite pleased with...
