I haven't had the time yet to build me a new puppet...i hope i get soon. However, i did experiment with some shag furr the other week. I tried to sew together a pattermn with shag, but the pike got stuck in the seem. It looked very ugly. I didn't have time to experiment some more with it so i...
Some of you have had access to my ftp-server with a public account. I have recently had a hd-crash and lost the accounts. So, now that i am setting it up again i will be giving out personal accounts to those who want. Mostly so i know who's on my server.
So, if you want an account, just throw...
Does the fleece go:

my guess is that the strech goes sideways across the head and the neck stretches upwards...
I was working with hotglue a cupple of hours ago. I had the gun on for an hour and it was really hot. I spilled some glue on my finger, and i didn't have any water near. It was hot, probably around 150-200 degrees celcius. When i got the glue of my finger, my skin had crumpled up like the...

But i didn't really nail the pattern...it turned out as some weird alien instead, and i am going to make a really cool alien out of it haha...
Anyway, i'm asking for help here...

Well, folks, my cat ran away. Me and my girlfriend has no idea how he could sneak out. We have looked everywhere, but if he doesn't come out when we cal his name and put food on his plate, then he isn't here. He must have snuck out when we've opened the door, i don't think that he jumped from...
...but the rest of you may also join this thread :D
I have started to think about eyes for my puppets, and i'd like to do fraggle type-eyes, so Karen i wonder if you might remember what you guys used on your fraggles. Were they ping pong balls? or where they fishing floats, as i have heard...
I don't know if this has ever been done, i haven't seen every episode of the muppetshow yet. But last night as i was in my bed trying to sleep, this scenario was playing in my mind.
It's the muppet labs, bunsen introduces himself and beaker. Bunsen has just come up with what he thinks is the...
I am looking for jpegs or gifs where you can see the muppets, and the puppeteers like this one where you can see the muppet's sizes in proportion to the muppeteers.
Please email me if you have any to share.
Thanks

Welcome!
I thought the biggest problem with gonzo was his nose. It's not. It's probably the easiest part. I did some experimenting and did a rough gonzo nose in about 20 minutes.
I did it not with carving a block of foam, but with 2 flat pieces of very thin (1 cm) foam. I glued them down the middle...
I have found this picture, it looks like it's in the workshop where the fraggles were made.
It also looks like the woman is holding a foam head and a gluegun...i think it might be mokey in the building process...take a look and tell me what you think...
Well, i am getting the hang of doing the foam assembly, but i'm thinking i might be overdoing the darts. Take a look at this pic http://muppets.zapto.org/patterns.JPG
maybe i only need the top dart. maybe the others are overkill? Any ideas?
I just want to make the best puppet possible, and...
I am not trying to build another puppet before i have some antron fleece!!!
Regular fleece just wont cooperate with me. It refuses!!!
Now what i have learned and getting better at is assembling foam with a glue gun. Sure i have burnt my fingers a few times, but it doesn't matter.
Anyone...
this time i am going to make a bert puppet. The only thing i am wondering about is the eyes. There are similar shapes availible in wood, but i'm worried it won't get the look i am after, shine-wise.
Any suggestions anyone?
