Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
To be fair, Princess properties by the haus of maus aren't at all supposed to appeal to folks like us. Same with the (often less than stellar) Disney Jr programming(tho part of me likes the weirdness in Sheriff Callies Wild West design) Lilo and Stitch and Emperors New Groove(and Id add Tarzan)...
Well for some reason, even though Disney owns Marvel, Disney decided not to brand or market Big Hero 6 as a Marvel film...Even tho IT IS a Marvel comic book. So weird. Heck Stan Lee had a cameo in BH6.
Dr Tooth, have you noticed that the Disney films you and I really like, seem to end up box...
Now I get what Diamond was saying about mini playsets. So amazing seeing that box seat theater mini playset. Omg, can you imagine the pictures you could take with that scene? Star Wars, WWE wrestling ring playsets, etc. Have S and W in that thing placed above any figure playset heckling the...
I refuse to ever see Frozen, every thing about Frozen rubs me the wrong way. But I do love non Pixar Disney 3d films. I loved Bolt and Chicken Little, and I like some of Big Hero 6.(which is TECHNICALLY a Marvel Comics film)
I am predicting that Zootopia, not Wreck It Ralph, will be the...
Id be assuming wave 2 would probably be Miss Piggy with Foofoo and maybe Rhonda rat or other smaller character, or a three pack with Andy and Randy, or just a 2 pack with Piggy and maybe Animal? I'm willing to put money on
wave 2 including Beaker and Bunsen with fun lab experiments.
But that...
Oh man, was worried! As the preorder on Diamond said $150 for all three, I was like noooo! The Star Wars Muppet action figure 2 pack series were $20 each, and I loved the heck out of those. So that's not much off the mark.
I think people have to remember that although technically these are...
Oh heck, the deviant art furry artists can go wild with this. I mean we've been on again off again fans of hollywood computer generated kids films since what, 20 years ago? Toy Story, Ants, Small Soldiers, Bugs Life? And since the late 2000's we've seen more misses than hits with the genre. Glut...
Dude, wait what...these are going to be $50 dollars each? for two 3.5-4" figures per pack? I just bought a 3 pack of amazing Zootopia figures at Toys R Us for $15 and the big new Nintendo World Jakks figures are $9 each.
Anyone who knows me, knows I am generally not the biggest fan of not just most talking animal cg kids films, but most cg kids films in general. Pixar feels hit or miss for me, I haven't bothered to see a Dreamworks film since Monsters vs Aliens. But the moment I saw concept art for Disney's...
I've been one of the biggest cheerleaders of the new ABC show....but, I have to say this brand new commercial feels a zillion times more fun and Muppety than all 8 episodes of the new ABC show so far
holy goodness, that 2 minutes was better than all eight episodes of the ABC muppet show combined! *in total awe* Wait, Luncheon Counter Monster is back? Hope we see him, Quongo the ape, Nigel, etc in the new show.
Still not sure what a crumpet is tho. Looks like a flying disc used in an Olympic...
Very weak episode. I loved seeing Denise, as now I'm savoring all of her screen time. But just very weak. Not sure I laughed once. I agree with some of the criticism about how romantic relationships dominate virtually every plot. Oh well, was good to see Carl. And it was clear Fozzie's gf did in...
Holy goodness they knocked it out of the park with this one!
All out Muppet mayhem! Rhonda once again proving she's now one of the top main characters. Rowlf finally has a scene! The Sam/Janice C-story is back!
Jason the Bateman! Hilarious take on the obligatory Rainbow Connection!
Glad Carl...
Few extra notes:
- I hated, HATED last weeks episode with Reece Witherspoon. Everything about that episode felt off. But...this episode more than made up for it
- Loved the Piggy fixing Kermit's scrunchy "Squishy" face. It's such a meta fan service, since for decades he's had the 'sheesh' face...
AMAZING! My fave episode yet. No idea who this Kristen Chenoworth is(why can't the Muppets get RELEVANT A-listers like Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, James Franco, Tom Hanks, etc?) and I *hated* the opening scenes with Chenoworth and Piggy. And Denise weird fangirling over her.
But once that drek was...
Ugh, not an actual puppet but just a cartoon? No! Make this an actual puppet. I'm super bummed Mazzarino and therefore Murray is no longer with Sesame. Murray was the best new character in over two decades. But totally excited for new characters. Not sure how the "Sesame on HBO" thing will work...
AGAIN, the difference is the big wigs at Disney love the Muppets. They own ABC. It'd be like if you or I were kazillionares, loved the Muppets and didn't care about ratings. Hoping a full season beyond the 13 commitment is announced soon, but I'm not worried. I know the majority of people left...
Im not concerned about the ratings; as it's clear the big wigs at ABC and Disney are big personal fans of the new series and I'm guessing will keep it going as a favor regardless of ratings. The show might not find a cohesive footing, template or flow til next season. Til then it's Lew Zealand...
I don't think any of the classic couples are together anymore. It's definitely clear Kermit/Piggy and Gonzo/Camilla are no longer a thing. So wouldn't be surprised if Janice and Floyd are no longer together. Pretty much guessing she's not with Floyd given how Ed Helms was wooing her the whole...
