    Forgotten Ernie and Bert skit

Yup. Their favourite was mine too, and I went out looking for it, and of course, people thought I was nuts. It was "FIGGY FIZZ"!

    Bert crying

My original point has been lost. I was clearing up the fact that Bert's hand was covered in paint, not bruised. And, in addition, this is not the reason he gets upset. He whimpers at the end of MANY skits after Ernie frustrates him, of course, but my point was that it was paint, not an...

    Bert crying

In case you haven't noticed, I have the skit, since that's where my avatar is from. You have clearly misunderstood the sketch.

    Bert crying

Bert is not crying in this skit, and his hand is not bruised. He got paint all over it and it would not wash off, so he has to wait for it to wear off. Ernie tries hiding the paint with a mitten, then matches it with another mitten, then a scarf, then a hat, then gives him a sled. He then...

    Let's Render!

I just want to clarify that of course I'll trade with anyone, but that MY library will be in VCD format. I was only suggesting that this was a quick effecient way to catalogue them. After posting the original thread, I got to thinking that it doesn't even matter. I can convert MPG files very...

    Classic Canadian Sesame Street

There are definitely Canadian-only skits I'm looking for but I'm sure I'll never find. If I EVER find the one with "Les Mains" (The Hands--which were detached from their bodies, just floating and playing invisible instruments) playing be-bop jazz on a blue background, my brother (who's now...

    Let's Render!

Of course I also believe this would be ideal, it's just that I noticed that several people have "lists" of separated skits that they are storing on their computers. This would be a good way to at least share some bits we haven't seen in a while (or at all) until obtaining the complete episode...

    Let's Render!

I think I've come up with a good idea for those of us with VCD capabilities. I've noticed a lot of you have large lists of video files either in mpg or avi format already. I, myself, have started the task of converting my classic skits to VCD ready format. Therefore, someone needs only to...

    What's wrong with kids today?

On Friday CTS in Toronto was showing the Don Knotts episode of TMS and of course I had it on all the TV's at work, because it's bright and colourful, draws attention to the TV's, and, um, I may be taping it for myself. Anyway, 2 small boys (I'm guessing between 7 and 10 years old) come running...

Rare animated films (not shown on Noggin)

Oh, that's OK. I just thought that since you had one of the coolest avatars you had access to more neat stuff like that. I'm going to keep changing mine just to keep folks on their toes! (Notice I changed it last night?) I've got a decent video setup hooked up to my computer for editing and...

    Newbie here!

Hi Saginaw I'm reasonably new here myself and everyone is making my entrance into the forum very comfortable so far. This is a great place to come to talk about this stuff and possibly trade. Have fun!

Rare animated films (not shown on Noggin)

Hey, Zet! Are you going to hypnosis therapy to remember these or something? Every time you describe one of these I can see it in my head, either crystal clear, or I struggle for the details like a faded dream, but THEY'RE ALL IN THERE! I've heard that everything you've ever seen or heard...

    Classic Sesame Street DVD Collection?

I have a few Video CD's I made of out-of-print videos that have quite a few classics on them. Let me know if you want to trade: 1. The Best of Kermit on Sesame Street / Sesame Songs Rock and roll 2. The Best of Ernie and Bert / Cookie Monster's Best Bites 3. Fraggle Songs volume one 4...

"A Frog in a Coconut Tree" Song

I have Elmopalooza on VCD if you have something interesting to trade!

    Toddler spends 2½ weeks alone

Why is it that some nice couples can't conceive and are put on huge waiting lists for adoption, yet this can happen? Having a toddler myself really brings a story like this home. I can't imagine something like this happening. It doesn't even sound real! Picture that poor child with no one to...

    Vend-A-Face

Anyone know if the Vend-A-Face segments were pulled from the reruns of TMS? I've been taping as many as I can and haven't run into any yet, and it's one of my favourites! Also, if so, WHY? And, oh yeah, why were the original openings pulled from the first season? This may have been...

Why did the Muppet Show end?

Actually it's on here in Canada on a Toronto Christian station. (Mostly nice, wholesome family programming, actually a pretty cool channel.) MY problem is that it's only available up where I am on satellite and I can't put my pan up here in my apartment building! Oh well.

    Sesame Street Dream

That's not as scary as the ACTUAL sketch where Ernie reaches into the TV that keeps going "H.............H.................H................" and in the background is that creepy noise like the professor's radio on Gilligan's Island! Man! That used to creep me out IN REAL LIFE! I know that's...

    Sesame Street Dream

Not scared me, but inspired me. Believe me, this is the ONLY place in the world where I could talk about this and have anyone get it. Ahem...here goes. For several years now, my brother and I have loosely thrown around ideas for a project where we record funny comedy skits, and covers of...

Looking to compile rare Sesame songs

I am able to import VHS directly into my computer through my DV camera. I've been thinking about this, as I think it would be more satisfying to do them up as videos rather than an audio CD. Maybe I'll just hang in there until I get enough video and do a clip compilation on VCD.
