I don't really have a favorite, just whatever excites me at that moment, though I'm sort of glad the Cadbury eggs are showing up in stores already! :flirt:
Yeah I understand :). And it is a shame how poorly Anime has been treated in America, so dumbed down and merchandised. At least it's created such an underground following. ;)
Oh ok, yeah I remember the Hunt family leaving, that makes sense.
If it was going to be a SS Muppet, I think I'd like to have delved deeper into Don Music's psyche, lol. I guess Jim would have brought Kermit, I would have loved his doing Ernie and Bert with Frank, how classic would that have...
I feel bad saying this, because I do think PBS is worth saving, but at the moment people can't always afford to give their money to a TV station, even if they enjoy it. Just like giving more money to a flawed educational system won't fix anything. The changes need to happen at home first...
Thanks! Yeah that's what I've been doing, lots of Earl Grey and Wonton Soup (it's the only soup I really like lol).
Oh I didn't notice Marty was hanging around, that's really nice. It's a shame security has to be so careful these days (justifiably so, but still).
I know this isn't a Sesame...
Sorry I've been a little MIA, I've been diagnosed with the flu and only recently got the strength to leave my room. (No, not to get to my laptop. My laptop was IN my room the whole time and I still had no energy to use it!)
I did read Joe's interview and loved his comments on Richard (and...
We often don't realize that so many of the cartoons we label as "American" were and are voiced by Canadian actors or animated by Japanese artists (As a child, I often wondered why the Care Bears pronounced "about" like "a-boot" ;)).
::shrugs:: Personally I think America had its day in...
I agree, instead it ended up being a big setback overall. It's not whether you bring the Muppets back or not. It's whether you do it well. And people who think kids need to be talked down to avoid "confusion," really need to get a clue themselves, heh.
That is a great interview! I'm also glad he explained the background of Muppets From Space's orignal ending. I don't blame him for being disillusioned, heh.
I agree; it's a cut throat business and doesn't always bring out the best, but you can't deny Eisner's contributions. Sometimes the quest for cash ends up being beneficial to audiences (a long as the talent is also good)! ;)
It does bug me a little but at least he's not standing directly in front of Big Bird or something, hehe. I wonder if they will try to dub over the voice. Hardly seems worth it since it's just a very quick, "No, no, no!"
Well I always think of the saying from the musical Into the Woods, "nice is different than good." I've had some teachers who were very blunt and at times hard to live with, but also very supportive and helpful. You needed to learn how to translate so to speak, hehe.
By the same token...
I always think it's so funny how they only showed Nanny's legs because it was intended to be from the viewpoint of a child...but yet every child who ever watched the show always asked, "Why doesn't she have a head? !" Lol ;)
I mean I don't want to be be naive and say everything in the past was better, obviously that's not true. But I do think there were higher standards of quality before. And I am disturbed that our pop culture has really started emphasizing changing yourself to fit in, rather than taking pride in...
