So...when you think about it...Big Bird is like one of those guys who still lives in his parents' basement! :wisdom: :concern:
While watching MTM, my friend asked who played Miss Piggy. When I told him Frank Oz, he freaked out, couldn't handle it, lol. Mainly because he was a major Star Wars...
Glad you found some inspiration! : D
Oh definitely, I was just recently revisiting "Six String Orchestra" (Scooter's "personal favorite!" ;) ) and "Ram a Lamb" from the Star Wars episode of Muppet Show. I had rented the it during a very trying time in my life and the Muppets were a huge...
Oh I've watched the live action movies too and I actually loved Raphael there. There was the anger, but I felt like he was a frustrated, misunderstood teenager. Plus he was funny in his digust with the world. The new cartoon Raphael didn't feel like a teenager, he just felt like "the moody one."...
I know what you mean, there was a lot of shameless promotion and merchandising that was inevitable with a successful cartoon series, lol. Still I just can't say a bad word about the '80s ninja turtles, hehe.
I just felt like the newer TMNT cartoon was a bit too serious. I mean it felt like...
Could have done without the Piggy weight joke. I know they used to do them even in the '70s and '80s but Piggy was also there to get back at them. Now you just wonder why Kermit is even with Piggy. Also weight jokes aren't as humorous now period with so many young girls starving themselves in...
Oh absolutely, the other day my Dad and I went to this live animal show to see all sorts of exotic creatures and learn about how pollution is ruining their habitat. It really reminded me of being a kid and learning all about how to save the Rain Forest. Then you become an adult and you don't get...
SWEAHB is a fan thread on this board dedicated to Steve. It's in the Henson People section. Hope that helps!
I was slightly the opposite actually, lol, I knew Nicky was the bad guy, but I completely missed how silly and over the top he was supposed to be. To my 5 year old eyes, I thought he...
You should watch the episode to see how Kermit describes it, hehe. :)
All I could think of the first time I heard it was sitting at home as a kid watching Great Muppet Caper and Muppets Take Manhattan. It's like they were always there, you know?
HI Kiki! Yeah I was away for awhile, but now I'm back, hehe. Aw thanks for wondering about me, I missed talking with you as well! :halo:
There was never a point in later childhood where people said I was weird for liking the occasional kids show. My parents were a little frustrated for awhile...
Oh sorry, that's from the Julie Andrews episode of Muppet Show. It's actually a song she wrote herself and then sung for Kermit. But it really reminded me of my childhood history with the Muppets:
"When you were a tadpole and I was a fish
when the whole world had barely begun
I saw you swim by...
I've watched Muppets stuff with my friends several times and we always had fun, it's a very nostalgic trip for us, hehe. I even have a friend from Europe who remembers watching Muppet Babies! : D
Though I did have one friend who saw my copy of Street Gang and jokingly said, "What are you, 12?" Lol
Oh I definitely identify, I've often felt that way too. :)
"I'm so glad that you love me too, cause I've loved you since you were a tadpole and I was a fish." ;)
