    Learn Something New Everyday Thread

Apparently Sia's been making music since the early-to-mid 2000s . . . I guess it took her a long time to go mainstream, because it seems like she didn't really start being a thing till about four or five years ago.

What made you roll your eyes today thread?

Well, California is one of about four or so states that don't require going through law school to take the bar exam, so unfortunately, she has that in her advantage.

New Muppet series in development for Disney's 2019 streaming service

Universal wouldn't be a wise decision, considering they basically did the same thing to the Chipmunks that Disney's been doing with the Muppets all these years. More like what Eisner tried to do with the Muppets and to the Hensons (and SS) after Jim's death.

The State of Us & Our Things

So I'm bumping this thread, because it's finally been confirmed what was concerning me for a while: the current political climate has brought me back to being the negative pessimist that you guys used to always accuse me of being in years past. I honestly feel miserable. It actually felt good...

    Questions about anything

Exactly. With the way YouTube intentionally fixes the search algorithms to work against the little guys and smaller channels, I hope this will help it get better exposure.

    Little things we've noticed

Certain Muppets seem to turn to certain grown-ups whenever they needed help with something. Like, Elmo seemed to have a tendancy to turn to Gordon, or Telly and Baby Bear would usually go to Maria, and Big Bird would often go to Mr. Hooper in past years, then Alan in more recent years.

What made you roll your eyes today thread?

The O.J. trial unfortunately started the chain reaction: with Robert Kardashian defending him in such a high-profile trial, that put the Kardashian family in the spotlight, and once the Kardashian family was in the spotlight, Ryan Seacrest somehow got the idea they needed reality show, and the...

What made you roll your eyes today thread?

Maybe, but her biological father was a lawyer (the lawyer who originally defended O.J. Simpson), so maybe that's instilled an interest in law in her, I don't know.

The New Am I The Only One Thread

Well, technically it is . . . or, it was, now it's politically incorrect, because it implies that anyone who's black is automatically originally from Africa, or has roots in Africa, when they may actually not . . . or, at least, that's what Raven-Symone says.

The New Am I The Only One Thread

Am I the only one who thinks the terms "little people" or "short people" actually sound more insulting/politically incorrect than "midget"? Granted, I'm aware that like certain other words, like the N-word or the R-word, the M-word has become a deragatory remark, but at the same time, to point...

The "I Saw Something REALLY Weird Today" Thread

Try using Firefox strictly for YouTube and see if you don't think it's an improvement. That's what I'm doing, and I'm blown away how much better YouTube (a Google product) works in Firefox.

To build up hype for new uploads, and when you premiere a new upload, yes, it does go live, and not only will the video be streamed live when it's premiered, it enables you to interact with your subscribers during the stream, basically turning it into a watch party. I plan on premiering MORON...

The "I Saw Something REALLY Weird Today" Thread

In following-up on what I posted about in the eye roll thread last night, I'm actually surprised to discover there was actually more wrong with YouTube in Chrome than just Watch History not working properly . . . I'm seeing things on YouTube in Firefox that I never saw in Chrome, such as actual...
