Yeah it's a very simplistic understanding of the franchise. The Muppets were always very innocent (even when being edgy, lol) but they were never goody goodies, lol.
Or it could just be part of the Henson crew that have a very generalized, idealized vision of the Muppets but don't have every film memorized the way we fans do. ;)
A lot of people have a problem with the company; it's been a long time brewing and it won't end soon. I can understand feeling frustrated because you were just asking a question but don't take it personally. :)
Thing is some of Google's problems aren't petty (again its relationship with China). Yes the Hitler expression is an exaggeration but it's only an expression, no different from saying "something really bad."

It manipulates the way we receive information in ways we aren't even aware of. Plus its history involving China is nothing to be proud of.
That happens more often then people think. Franchises get passed on to a new team and they think they need to add their own stamp to things when really they just need to leave it alone, lol. Though there are cases, like Star Trek and Star Wars, where it's the creator who seems to have a faulty...
Such as decent dramatic devices like deception? ;)
Again, this is like when Gene Roddenberry went around in later years saying Star Trek characters must be all perfect and non-military, which was complete nonsense and the antithesis of what he had created.
