Yeah it's a very simplistic understanding of the franchise. The Muppets were always very innocent (even when being edgy, lol) but they were never goody goodies, lol.

I can see both sides; I probably can't be much help here, lol.

Or it could just be part of the Henson crew that have a very generalized, idealized vision of the Muppets but don't have every film memorized the way we fans do. ;)

Thing is some of Google's problems aren't petty (again its relationship with China). Yes the Hitler expression is an exaggeration but it's only an expression, no different from saying "something really bad."

Well it's just an expression people use. Yes it's obviously an exaggeration. The bottom line is Google's little "do no evil" thing is laughable.

That happens more often then people think. Franchises get passed on to a new team and they think they need to add their own stamp to things when really they just need to leave it alone, lol. Though there are cases, like Star Trek and Star Wars, where it's the creator who seems to have a faulty...

Such as decent dramatic devices like deception? ;) Again, this is like when Gene Roddenberry went around in later years saying Star Trek characters must be all perfect and non-military, which was complete nonsense and the antithesis of what he had created.

Not to mention when Kermit and Fozzie posed as pizza delivery boys in GMC.
