    Bible Study

The only things I've ever heard from testimonies from people who have had out-of-body experiences, and went to either Heaven or **** as a result have been really, really vage about it: as you say, angels are often described as beautiful entities, usually exhibiting extremely bright heavenly...

    Bible Study

That's why Christianity, by definition, isn't so much a religion as it is a faith. Some of them are within the mindset that being gay, or bi, or anything non-heterosexual is a "choice." In other words, they think people choose to be gay, which is just ludicrous . . . I mean, you see the kind of...

CGI Muppet Film?: Would it Work?

I mean, Frank has said that Jim was fascinated with CGI, and that had he lived, he could see him eventually rising up the ranks at Pixar or something.

    Bible Study

I've asked the same thing about atheists before, but more from the angle that if God knows everything about everyone, and knows what actions and decisions we make long before they're even thoughts in our mind, then why would He bother to create anybody whom He knows will reject/renounce/simply...

Halloween is just around the corner

I notice anymore, people start getting excited for Halloween about mid-summer (July/August-ish), but I am thrilled to see more and more people are ready for fall this year - that's something I almost never see! This summer was, surprisingly, not entirely insufferable as usual, but still, the...

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

I actually feel like that makes him all the more perfect for Hades. ;) :P But really, he's an old, washed-up, has-been at this point anyway.

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

Oh, and now Disney's also doing a live action remake of HERCULES, and Benny-Who Cumberland (a.k.a. the guy who made the Grinch into a sassy gay furry last year) will be Hades.

POPEYE'S: FYI - people need to eat on Sundays too. CHICK-FIL-A: FYI - we never run out of chicken sandwiches.

Halloween is just around the corner

    1. You have to pay for it if you go to a store; random people give it out to you for free. 2. If you wear a costume when you go into a store, you might arouse suspicion and have the cops called on you.

    Learn Something New Everyday Thread

I guess none of this should really come as much of a surprise, but for most Americans, their diet and exercize plans haven't changed a whole lot since the 80s, yet it's harder for people to lose weight now than it was in the 80s. Research has turned up a few causes they believe are linked to...

    The "You know what?" thread

THE ODD COUPLE aired on ABC but is now owned by CBS. M*A*S*H aired on CBS but ended up being owned by FOX (now owned by Disney). CHEERS aired on NBC but is now owned by CBS. SEINFELD aired on NBC but was owned by FOX for a while. EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND aired on CBS but is owned by HBO. THE...

What made you roll your eyes today thread?

Apparently Google Chrome went ahead and jumped the gun and stopped supporting Shockwave/Flash altogether (even though they previously said they wouldn't drop support until December 2020).

None Like it Hot: The "I Hate the Heat" Club

Definitely the latter. As I always say, you can always continue to add layers for warmth when it's cold, but when it's hot you can only remove so much before you're arrested for indecent exposure.

None Like it Hot: The "I Hate the Heat" Club

Yeah, I have a friend who lived in Minnesota all her life (in Wisconsin as well for a while), and she always whined and complained about how cold it was up there. Now she lives in Florda, and she's always whining and complaining about the daily thunderstorms (but she's loving the 90+ degree heat).

Arthur - Where is the Show Going?

We have those as well, but we have quite a few of our own locally-produced programs that they air, usually on our main PBS channel. We have an exercize program, a scholastic game show, a math homework help hotline (relatively new), an informational program with a TV doctor, and a Saturday...

Arthur - Where is the Show Going?

Yeah, I'm not sure just how many out there still do that. My local PBS always had its own program scheduling up until about mid-2005 or so, then they, for whatever reason, decided to adopt a national schedule.

Arthur - Where is the Show Going?

Just the 4:30am slot you mentioned. Likewise, it used to be 9:00 and 9:30 at night, but not anymore.
