Now what's going on with YouTube?

Well, supposedly, many YouTubers and their lawyers are reaching out to the FTC about all of this, and how it affects them . . . and supposedly, the FTC is listening, and trying to looking into how they can work this out in ways where it's not so inconvenient for those of us caught up in the middle.

Now what's going on with YouTube?

COPPA has been around for countless years; YouTube was in violation of it by data mining the activity of users thirteen and under. It's not that videos that appeal to children aren't allowed on YouTube anymore, it's that videos that are labeled as kid-friendly will no longer possess many basic...

    What made you think today?

There's that sad story that was told in I AM BIG BIRD while on location for a shoot, Big Bird was left in the care of some ROTC cadets who basically desecrated the bird, tearing off feathers (each of them displaying a feather in their caps), and even trying to break off one of his eye balls. I...

    Courage the Cowardly Dog returning?

I got the same email. Unfortuantely, I'm still waiting for some extra funds to hit the bank so I can make a donation; I don't know how limited the supply is, but knowing my luck, they'll probably run out by the time I'm able to make a donation. Well, I suppose the donation to Stretch Films...

Now what's going on with YouTube?

I'm really unsure about what direction I want to take because of this as well. Yes there are alternatives to YouTube, but many of them have flaws and limitations that YouTube has long done away with, such as time limits, as well as file size limits . . . although it's uncommon, some of my...

    Little things we've noticed

One of the original producers of the Dutch co-production SESAMSTRAAT, who created Pino (the Dutch Big Bird) said he always thought of the character as a giant penguin. Really, this one Pino puppet from the early 80s is the only one, I think, that even remotely looks penguin-ish:

Sesame Street Special "Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Celebration"

As far as Mumford goes, John Kennedy sounds like he's doing more of an exaggerated impression of W.C. Fields than Jerry Nelson did. It actually works, TBH; matter of fact, it reminds me a lot of Walker Edmiston's W.C. Fields impression for the voice of Ludicrous Lion from H.R. PUFNSTUF.

Sesame Street Special "Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Celebration"

I don't know, I still felt like Sherlock Hemlock was way off.

Video: Vanity Fair showcases a day in the life of Elmo with help from his friends

Because she's been too busy getting knocked up and having throat surgeries?

Now what's going on with YouTube?

Thing of it is, the responsibility is being heaped on us; we're supposed to label our content accordingly.

Now what's going on with YouTube?

Looking into the matter a little deeper, and trying to do my homework, I've figured out I pretty much only have two options: 1. I can mark my content as "not made for kids," so that way, I don't lose any key features that are beneficial to my channel growing, such as my subscribers actually...

    What made you think today?

Somebody brought up the old Mannequin Challenge today, and that got me to thinking . . . how come there was no such challenge in 2019? In the past several years, we've had the Mannequin Challenge, the Ice Bucket Challenge, the Share the Laughter Challenge, the Pumpkin Painting Challenge, even...

Now what's going on with YouTube?

I swear I also typed "trend followers" as part of that list, because that's what I'd classify those under.

Now what's going on with YouTube?

To be fair, you're not even supposed to upload that kind of content in the first place - that's been against their policies from day one . . . in fact, that's actually the reason why the original creators of YouTube sold out to Google in the first place: too many users violated the TOS by...

Now what's going on with YouTube?

I mean, again, the writing has been on the walls, and this does come up in conversation every few years . . . but the way YouTube continually screws over the smaller channels (and honestly, they do make effort to do so), it really wouldn't be too awfully surprising if it actually does happen...

Now what's going on with YouTube?

It's kind of like the end of the world: people keep predicting when it will happen, the date comes, the world doesn't end, then they just predict a new date and go with that, lol.

Now what's going on with YouTube?

Either way, I'm setting my entire channel as "not made for kids," because otherwise, people will stop receiving notifications and subscription updates from my channel, and frankly, that's been hurting me since 2013, because YouTube's been doing that on smaller channels anyway - this is only...

Now what's going on with YouTube?

They've been threatening to do this for years, and it never happens. I'm not saying it couldn't, because the writing's definitely been on the wall for a long, long time, but it's another one of those "I'll believe it when I see it" scenarios . . . The only thing that's for certain is that if...

Sesame Street Season 50 Episode 5001 - Big Bird Across America

I remember Jen pointing out how the acting and performing gigs she tends to get are unconventional, given she's a tall woman with short hair and a deep voice, but being Granny Bird seems like a good performing role for her for that very reason.
