CMT? What does this show even have to do with country music? But yeah, I watched it during its original broadcast on FOX back in the day.

I like certain hush puppies - Captain D's and Cracker Barrel's hush puppies are pretty good, but I've yet to have any other decent pups.

    COVID-19 Coronavirus News and Updates

I mean, to be fair, poor eating habits aren't the only cause for high blood pressure - sometimes, it's also a genetic thing. It runs in my mom's side of the family: my mom has it, and my nana also had it, and my nana was pretty much thin as a twig her whole life. Of course, my doctor confirmed...

Eggo's kind of blah . . . if you're lucky enough to live in the south (cough-cough), there's a regional chain of little small town diners called Waffle House, and as you can imagine, their specialty is waffles . . . now, if you want good waffles, then bam, there you go. And yes, they do have...

Christmas: Are they shoving it down our throats too early?

Anyone know why Kelly Clarkson's cover of "Run Run Rudolph" changed the lyrics? I want to say political correctness, but I'm not sure.

When it comes to the basic meats, pork is kind of my least favorite. Granted, I love BBQ ribs, and I don't mind pork chops every now and then, but generally speaking, pork isn't a meat I would go out of my way to eat (and, honestly, even though I don't mind bacon, I really think it's overrated)...

Got into some pretty intense discussions about hot dogs in the "What Made You Smile Today?" thread, but does anyone here like corn dogs?

    The Loud House Thread

A lot of people are really wanting Steve Carell to play Mr. Loud in the live action movie, but I really don't see what would be wrong with Brian Stepanek actually reprising the live action role, he does kind of look like Mr. Loud:

As suggested by @cjd874 I'll just start off by saying if there's ever been an underrated movie that definitely needs more love, it's the 1980 dramedy FATSO, starring Dom DeLuise in the only movie that Anne Bancroft ever wrote and direct (so, not surprisingly, you can kind of sense Mel Brooks's...

Funny how this went from "The What Made You Smile Today? Thread" to "The Food Porn Thread."

As far as restaurant cole slaw goes, I'd say KFC (yes, KFC) has slaw that's the most consistently good . . . Cracker Barrel has some decent slaw as well, but surprisingly, they never really season it, so I find I have to really add a lot of salt to it.

Dang, that's really sad. I always really enjoyed his work, especially as Professor Utonium and Him. And truth be told, I always imagined his voice coming from my character Dr. Charmin. . . .

    Dawn Wells dead at 82

My nana eventually succumbed to dementia, and likewise, my papaw ended up succumbing to Alzheimer's. Sadly, they both seem to be something that runs in the family, particularly on my mom's side.

"Long-running"? GILLIGAN'S ISLAND only lasted three seasons. But still, that's a shame - especially dying from COVID.

A "plain" woman is a woman who's just that, plain: not pretty, doesn't put much effort into her appearance, maybe lacks personality.

    COVID-19 Coronavirus News and Updates

Well, again, scientists told us that any vaccine that could be developed for COVID would essentially be a glorified flu shot . . . and, honestly, who doesn't get sick from the flu after a flu shot? But, aside from that, apparently people are already getting those $600 stimulus checks (I haven't...

Then there's cole slaw . . . cole slaw in general is always hit or miss, depending on how it's prepared. IMO, really good cole slaw is moist (but not with too much vinegar, mind you) . . . if cole slaw is too dry or has too much pepper in it (which seems to be the case with Captain D's anymore)...

Anyone familiar with kimchi? Never eaten it, but man, the smell of that stuff is so rancid, it could kill through the nose!

Sauerkraut is nasty, as is relish.
