    Palisades Sesame Street Protos

Basically, the height difference is the same as between Bert and Ernie. The count is the same size as cookie Monster and Bert. The Count is about a quarter of a head taller than Ernie. Just noticed the scale is different again on the link provided by the 80's drummer. In that link, the size...

    The Mysteries of Muppetry?

Some of the eyes used to come from a ball toy where you put one inside the other(Wacky stacks/stax) to get different size eyes. Now I would say they are vacuformed plastic.(unless it is another form of variation, such as foam tubes(like Floyd) or black beads) The pupils are usually a type of...

    Save the Fozzie Replica

I see.So you think Kermit was made for only $60 or $70?.I know a lot of Retailers over here in Australia work on a 100% mark up. sometimes that cant be done because of competitors and sometimes they can make up more than 100% if it is a very low wholesale price. Hang on, if kermit was made for...

    Save the Fozzie Replica

If Fozzie does get made, he is at least 6 months away.Nothing is concrete. They did say that they would rather not make him if he cant be made properly, so they are taking their time to find a place that can make him properly. If Fozzie goes well, then they will continue with other characters.Not...

    Save the Fozzie Replica

MR let them do that on their own back as MR wanted to be sure everything was right, so although they did officially announce him, they didnt put him up for pre-order.

    Save the Fozzie Replica

HA Ha.Maybe if we went to Ireland to get one, they would still make the deadline as 2008 would come after 2009.Ah-to be sure,to be sure!(apologies to the Irish:o )

    Save the Fozzie Replica

Thanks.BTW MR did officially announce Fozzie late 2007 that he was coming in 2008.And then Amy posted us a price and shipping date on him.

    Save the Fozzie Replica

But that means then that kermit would of retailed at $6000-$7000 according to that!

    Save the Fozzie Replica

No other patterns have been released by disney since Fozzie,so if Fozzie doesnt get made, I would say no others will be made because sales have been slow on the others. It has been told to me that when it was looking like a $5000 retail, that they would rather not do it as it will upset more...

    Save the Fozzie Replica

I was trying to keep everyone up to date as the news comes in, but I guess it is playing with people's emotions as the news changes,so I guess I wont post anymore news on Fozzie till things stabilise and we know whether he will or wont be made.

    Save the Fozzie Replica

I doubt retail would be 10 times the cost price.Isnt it normally double?

    Save the Fozzie Replica

Sigh! Just seen the quote to have Fozzie made in Australia. The manufactuer cost alone is more than what most of you are prepaired to pay, before the cost of shipping and retail mark up get added.Lets hope there is more luck in the Philippines, otherwise we can wave Fozzie goodbye.

    Save the Fozzie Replica

MR have now officially sold out of Animal. There is still plenty of Gonzo.BTW, Fozzie can still be made without the prototype.Just requires a bit more concentration on studying other alternate reference material.

    Save the Fozzie Replica

Destroyed as in pulled to bits to study.MR did not want it back as it was totally ruined.Any internal swapping of materials really wouldnt matter as it wont be seen and wont take away from the visual replica.

    Save the Fozzie Replica

Yes, 3 Fozzies were made-one promotional one, which was suppose to stop in The States, and 2 others to go to the factory for study. One has definately been destroyed, presumably the other as well(from the first factory that attempted to make fozzie, which is the second factory to make the photo...

    Save the Fozzie Replica

That is what MR are wondering. They are doing a search in the previous factory in China.

    Save the Fozzie Replica

Only the Artist prototype is done(however this is now missing).Once a factory/workshop is found, they will have to start over again and make a engineer prototype/sample.Whoever makes Fozzie will have a bible of instructions, but wont have the benefit of having a Fozzie in front of them to...

    Save the Fozzie Replica

The problem is finding someone who can do all these things-sculpting, moulding, engineering and sewing in the one place.Specialist care has to be taken in all areas and it is not as simply as it may seem. You also need an eye for detail to copy something to make it visually identical.Just...
