I think the set kinda doesn't work that well because there's less human presence; everything is built to their scale, not the Muppets. I guarantee that if the show were being created today, they'd have a smaller, Muppet-scaled set.

Huh. I was not expecting them to do the zoom-call thing on the show. I guess that's the only way they can get Suki on this season (I imagine maybe they might do this again if her family is going to apparently reappear this season). And I suppose it's nice that the Grouchketeers are back, and...
I'm gonna assume it's a copyright-related thing. They might be able to get around using clips from the film they're talking about because it's a review, but any extra stuff probably doesn't qualify.
A majority of the writers aren't long-time Sesame writers, so their connection to Telly is probably minimal to none. It's also up to the producers/creative directors/research folks as to which characters should get used and with the redshifted focus a few years ago, Telly just isn't a priority...
I think those "at-home" specials last year show them that they can produce low-budget (and/or low-quality?) content like this and still get some positive reception. Considering the last two season-opening specials were animated, I wonder if we'll get another full-fledged in-studio special next...
Shame there weren't any humans around. Liked Tango's little hat. Missed seeing Telly and Prairie on the float. Doesn't seem good for either of those character's futures.
I mean, the CBS broadcast can't do/have the performances, so all they can do is talk about the floats/balloons.
It's weird to me that they're the only other channel that attempts to cover the parade in any way.
Mokey's new look surprised me at first, but after seeing nearly every post in response to the trailer being negative about her new look, I stopped caring.
