Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
It's either written in "The Works" or discussed on the "Wonderful World of Jim Henson" PBS documentary, that Oscar's poor attitude is to relate to toddler's frustrations and meet them on a level to show that everyone gets grumpy, so according to that, his poor attitude was deliberatelt intentional.
I didn't realize it when he was alive (unfortunately he died last year), but my Uncle Al was the spitting image of Statler, and my Uncle Bill looks exactly like Waldorf.

Anyone catch last nights American Idol? There was a commercial of the current Idols singing Diggable Planet's "Rebirth of Slick" and they were full size puppet versions of themselves, pretty cool I thought.
He also did some fast salsa/tango type dancing with some cheese too.
One of my favorite Gonzo acts never actually appeared on TMS, but rather in a book titled "Beauregard Saves the Show" where he dresses like a cowboy and rides a giant squash rodeo style.
Yeah, that shot of Robin Williams laughing always kind of bothered me as well, I don't know why though. But you're right, it's the best documentary of Jim ever. Very thorough.

That's it, I have it and I forgot the name of it. I think the stars reactions to the gags aren't their actual reactions though, I always felt that the laugh track was a bit embellished on that one.
Man that'd be cool, but here's two points I think that give both a case for and a case against:
The case for Sesame Street Muppets have made appearances on TMS, so there's an even trade off. But I'd imagine that Disney really owns the popular cast. Whatnots are up for grabs as far as liscencing...
