Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I'm only excited about Arthur Christmas solely because it's an Aardman movie. That said, it looks like a big departure from their traditional style, which could be a good or bad thing. Though I'm definitley more excited about The Muppets though, that's not a doubt. :)
Also an interesting and related tidbit: The Muppet Christmas Carol, which of all of Walt Disney Pictures' 1992 releases had the 2nd biggest theater count on it's opening weekend, was filmed the summer before it came out... meaning the trailers probably came out very close to release day and it...
That makes 3. Come to think of it, nobody I knew liked this show either - yet, just like The Wild Thornberrys - Nickelodeon for some reason thought Rocket Power was popular because they showed it all the time. Those two were the Nicktoons that really started the streak of blase Nicktoons.
I think we'll see a trailer by Cars 2. I think the fact that they didn't start filming till October is throwing things back a bit. But realize we didn't get to see anything from Bolt beyond one conceptual artwork piece until the trailer attached to WALL-E. We've seen some promotional photos at...
I think it's well about time The Muppet Show Book actually got re-published! Just in time for the movie of course. It'd be a great way to re-introduce the show to people willing to buy it. :)
Yeah, definitely agree with those three.
I honestly think Songs from the Street is perfectly fine despite the over-abundance of celebrity tracks. I think part of the point was to mix together the key Sesame songs, many of which were already on CD, with celebrity tracks. It's really a big way to...
I'm surprised we've never had a thread like this before, but here's something to think about: what do you consider the very best Sesame Street albums? It can be based on anything. Nostalgia, great music, great characters on the album, but what are your Abbey Road or St. Pepper's of Sesame...
I say wait and see. I'd certainly buy a new Fraggle Rock album if it had new music to offer and most likely a Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss album. But the Labyrinth soundtrack has never been out-of-print since the movie came out and The Dark Crystal score is fairly easy to find on Amazon and...
I'm not talking about favorites movies, that's a bit old hat. No, what I'm talking about is a movie (movies) that you have seen some time in your life and that have stayed with you up unto this very day. I saw this on another forum and thought it'd be a nifty conversation starter. I have a few...
Yes, Rocko's Modern Life on DVD at last. I've been waiting a very long time for this to happen. I'll definitely pick it up - and for $13 on Amazon it's virtually a steal! :)
And looking through Amazon, I've found that only Merry Christmas from Sesame Street and Sesame Street Christmas Sing-Along are available as MOD CD's. This is interesting they'd offer them in February when they seemed to be released, a full 10 months before Christmas but I'll have to pick these...
I don't know how long these have been up, but I was searching around Amazon today and found out that a handful of Sesame Street LP's are now available in CD form. Note that these are burn-on-demand CD-R's but they are probably worth it if they are ripped from the MP3's availible on Amazon. So...
I hate to bump this thread in March but I realized I need a favor.
Count, if you could could you please re-upload that whole Muppet music Christmas collection you had up back in November? I had downloaded it but it got wiped during my massive computer crash two months ago. I'd wait till...
I'll tell you guys what I'll do: I'll let both of you take a shot at designing a logo and see what you guys come up with, I'll probably be able to use both for different things.
I just need you guys to PM me your e-mail addresses so I can send the pictures of Conrad and Milo I have to give you...
