I can tell SG was being serio-comedic with that post but with that said, as someone who saw all 5 nominees, Brave was the weakest, at least in my opinion. I'll go so far as to call it Pixar's weakest "good" film (and even I'd consider it far, far away in quality from A Bug's Life which is right...
Anybody have "It's Hard to Be Humble," performed by Mac Davis and Link Hogthrob? Also looking for the second Muppet Show LP album, for some reason I have no copy of it on here.
The Best of Whose Line Is It Anyway? - I've wanted DVDs of this show for a while and this was the cheapest, so I snapped it up finally thanks to a gift card.
If you can believe it, Frankenweenie was at one point set to open in November. Yes, Disney, for a short while, had it planned as their Thanksgiving movie (The Muppets ultimately took that November slot). It's box office performance was horrible, but it probably would have done worse if it opened...
I'm really starting to dislike Pixar... I never thought I would even say that.
Life of Pi was so much better than The Hobbit effects-wise, I'll be quite honest. [And as a movie it was much better too but that's naother war for another time]
I think that has to do with the fact that Fraggle Rock wasn't filmed in HD or on film, videotape doesn't translate as splendid to Blu-ray as we would hope apparently.
Complete double dip of everything's that been out on DVD plus chotchkies I don't need? Yeah, I might have to pass unless the new bonuses are really good.
All I'll say is that I thought The Dark Knight Rises was awesome in the theater, but it really doesn't hold up on repeat viewings. Watching it again exposes a lot of the really goofy things in that movie that just make no sense. The Dark Knight is still awesome, though.
I still want to know what my local movie theater did with that giant talking cardboard stand they had plugging this movie that was out for like 5 months before the movie came out. :cluck:
It's even funnier if you read it out loud impersonating Christian Bale's Batman voice.
Come to think of it, why does Robin have any control over what Batman buys anyway? Bruce Wayne is a dang millionaire he could buy whatever he wanted! Anyway....
It's still nothing compared to Scratchpad Wiki, the only website where Bear, Fluttershy, Kermit the Frog, Tweety Bird and Batman all throw tantrums over old Barney VHS tapes and Thomas the Tank Engine toys.
Went to Target today to get some things and took the opportunity to pick up some Blu-rays.
Argo - Awesome movie, hands down the best movie of 2012. I hope it wins big on Sunday.
Monsters, Inc. 3D - I missed the 3D re-release in theaters, wanted to upgrade the movie to a Blu-ray for a while...
Here's what I don't get about the whole Muppet Babies situation: A quick check of Muppet Wiki clearly indicates plenty of episodes from the show's run have been released commercially. If use of copyrighted film footage from different companies was the problem getting the show on DVD, how come...
