Throwback Thursday...and reason 1,526,362 why I miss my childhood. Remember those Big Bird (and Elmo) flashlights they sold at shows throughout the 90's? My first show my mom bought me a Big Bird one. Even though they're dated, I wish they'd bring them back, lol.
He even looks spiffy with his...
This show is cute! I LOVE Abby Cadabby in this. Especially how her friendship with Elmo is sort of explored more. And YESS to the Count Me In number AND obviously the Moves Like Jagger parody. I like this show a lot, my only (baised) complaint would be Big Bird and Telly being a split track -...
I've often wondered had Around the Corner survived into today's era, how much would it have an impact on today's show? Like would some of the locations had been changed? I'd imagine Finder's Keepers would've been renovated since Ruthie is no longer on the show; maybe it would've turned into the...
Ryan's really doing well with Elmo. Took awhile but he's got my official seal of approval. In due time he'll get better and more relaxed with the character.
Just watched the Count tribute episode. Agreed, very well done. At the risk of spoilers, I will highlight all my questions in white. If you've watched the episode, please feel free to answer them.
Was Elmo puppeteered by Ryan Dillon? I know it was Kevin's voice, but not sure if he was there on...
This appearance was really cute! The Sesame Street Muppets joined Jimmy and the Roots to sing the Sesame Street Theme. Characters who appeared were Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Grover, Elmo, The Count, Abby, Murray, Zoe and even SNUFFY! Definitely a treat to see him again! All in all, great...
Did they really bring back "Telephone Talk"? LOL. StarrFilter, I think you and I can both agree, even though you didn't like Sunny Day Camp Out, "Telephone Talk" WAS a good song. Speaking of which, what do you think of this show overall, StarrFilter? Any likes or dislikes?
Happy belated birthday Mr. Clash. Thanks for being such an instrumental part of my childhood. I hope all is well with you, and hope you find joy in your professional endeavors in the near future!
Wow, I really wish that song was longer! I love that rendition of "Shirt Shout".
In other news, I believe this show got re-choreographed in the off season, so it'll be interesting to see what changes were made.
Well that's first, having the Bird split with another major character. I'm not really surprised by it though, unfortunately. Especially in this day and age of Sesame Street.
Honkers are back as well! Those eyes though...Ick!
I'm interested in the casting for this show now, since I thought (judging from pics) Telly would once again be the tall understudy. However, now I'm starting to assume Telly will be splitting tracks with Big Bird. Any conformation, StarrFilter?
Another throwback pic...Big Bird's Sunny Day Camp Out from 1999. The last original show to come out the "Classic" era. Still wondering why VEE never remounted this show though?
Lol yeah those ears are crazy big. Glad they improved his walk-around in later years.
VEE posted this photo on Facebook. Funny how time flies, right? The original 1-2-3...Imagine was my very first SSL show back in 1998. This pic definitely spells nostalgia for me, lol. Loving the original Rubber Duckie ship too, haha. And my girl Roxie Marie.
