You actually do have an accent. >< But it's not really strong or obnoxious. It's pretty normal, like how Beau didn't sound ridiculously/stereotypically british. You don't sound ridiculously/stereotypically southern. ;) It's the way you pronounce your vowels that makes it really noticeable.

IRC is internet relay chat or something. I've used it before but it's kind of confusing. You set up chat room channels for your website and anyone can log on at any time and chat. I googled IIRC and it came up as "Illinois Internet Report Card"... so I don't know if that helps. Ask Prawnie! lol.
