Look at it this way....in 1997 Warner Bros. took a 30-year-old low budget lackluster Saturday morning cartoon and turned it into one of the hottest kids properties of the 90's. And that was something that had virtually zero audience for several years, unlike the Muppets that have always...
Phillip,
Thanks, first off, for the link! But I have questions that I'm hoping you or someone else could answer.
Does the JHC have any control over the Sesame Characters now? What’s to stop S.W. from hiring new performers not affiliated with JHC to perform Elmo or Cookie Monster. The...
I don't honestly know what to think anymore. I've always been a huge fan of Disney, but I really don't know what to think about ownership anymore.
Disney seems like a logically choice, just because of their sheer power, financial position, visibility, and vast resources available at their...
Kevin,
Wasn't that one of the original Disney Stores? I haven't been to Oak Grove Mall (thats the mall isn't it?) in ages, but last time I was there (over a year ago), some of the egyptian theme was still existing, complete with the hidden Mickeys!!!!!!!! That was such a cool store.
I dunno about this Dinner thing. I don't even know the girl. Maybe if there was a formal introduction. And a rescue? If memory serves correctly, I almost get fried.....I dunno about this.
Thats one of the most horrible things I've ever seen....But I laughed and watched it over and over and over again. It really was amazing when you think about it!
One of my favorite memories is visiting NYC as a kid. My folks drove all over on a Sunday afternoon in a huge Motor Home trying to find the shop. We finally found it, and it was closed. SOB. I got to look in the windows, and I remembering wondering if Jim Henson lived upstairs. There was a...
Yeah, Warner Brothers Studio Stores, like Disney Stores back in the day, used to be different for every store built. For example, the WBSS in Jackson Mississippi had a "Riverboat Theme", they were always so much fun! Interactive displays, some stores had Superman Flying through a wall, and...
Didn't all the Warner Brothers Studio Stores close down? It's been about a year and a half since the last time I was up there, and it was still there, but its my understanding that all the stores closed down.
The Times Square store wasn't as much fun as the other store on 5th avenue (I think...
How about an update on the NYC TRU Ken? I'm planning a trip back up there soon (maybe even for Muppetfest 2). I haven't heard much about the new TRU, except that the window video units that take up the entire front facade can go clear to let people see into the store!!!!! I wanna know about...

Dunno, don't think anyone bought it the last time it was on Ebay.
